There's a graphic novel of sorta, "Paying for it" by a Canadian Chester Brown. It's a bit of a dry read in places but I think many would relate, even covers the whole transition to calling cards to internet review based selection of providers.

For discretion you could write using a pseudonym, and change the names of the SP's you met?

I mentioned this above. Who can you publish a book with that will protect your identity? Amazon allow pseudonyms but require your real details, and I wouldn't trust those platforms in a million years.

My first book was very well reviewed, got into paperback - I was even on Parkinson.
Well, now I'm intrigued!!   :)

Everyone has a book in them and that, in most cases, is where it should stay.

Some would charge extra for that service! 😊

Anyone remember Man Meat's reviews on another site?

Plenty of books, films, TV from the perspective of an escort but very little from the perspective of a punter. We are very much the villain in this industry and probably with good cause in a lot of cases but that’s not everyone plenty of decent guys who punt.

When it comes to sex it's a female dominated market especially today, women have the spending power even more so than men so if it's not aimed at them don't expect it to sell. There just isn't a strong enough market to sell the experience of the punter whatever that may be.

But I would still say go and write your book put it out in the world.

If written from the punters point of view, I can't imagine it would sell, because we're the least interesting part of the equation.

For a start, we're all motivated by exactly the same thing; we want enjoyable, no-strings-attached sex with attractive women. Well, who wouldn't? Not much of a story there. The women we see, though, are motivated by all sorts of different and more interesting things.

Not only that, anybody could do what we do. Even blokes who choose not to punt know they could, if they wanted. I suspect that not many women could be an SP, though; it must take a very special attitude and mindset to do the job, especially to do it well. I would think that many women would be fascinated by those who do.

So I'd write it from a woman's point of view, possibly the madame of a long established knocking shop who'd seen it all before, and would have some tales to tell. If any publishers are reading this I have the first 500 words ready to go, I'm available, and I'm cheap.  :hi:

Could be a good read, does not have to have a good story, as do not think that is really possible - but stand to be corrected. Would be more the style of writing like Jeramy Clarkson, where its a few pages on one topic, in this case one Punt or one WG. That way its short and to the point
Go for it

I can’t think of anything that portrays punters in a positive light, I’ve got 40+ years of punting and 700+ different girls, I’ve seen over thousands of punts across the globe.

Be interested in peoples thoughts on this, I should add I’ve had several relationships from meeting working girls and lots of lovely associations plus a lot of fun so it wouldn’t be some grim read. Any good books or films people can point me towards from the punters perspective.

The other side of the game has gained a lot of attention like "The girlfriend Experience" why not this side. You do have to have a spin on things, maybe you are a pilot or something interesting like that.. or a con man traveling the world..

I think there is a lot of interest from women as to what causes their fellows to go into the sex industry, what the life is like, what the men want, and so on.  I suspect there is also an element of getting tips on what to do in bed.

I doubt that there is anything like the same interest about punters' motivations and experiences.  Who wants to read about losers who have to pay for it?  The only way it might sell would be as a kind of salacious porn novel sold in sex shops, but that market has more or less died now.

I choose to pay for sex, but never considered myself a loser. :unknown:

Parkinson was such a hypocrite - he was asking me why I was deserting the North to go to London - which he did himself soon after. The thing is that writing novels is miserably paid unless you hit the jackpot, so I went into advertising and made squillions.
Divorce took care of that, ha ha. On Saturday I'm going to a party at my third ex's ... in the house she ended up with. Now worth £2 million. I don't begrudge a penny. I've had a whale of a time and still do, pussy once or twice a week; she's old and past it. Cunt beats cash every time.

Quite right. You always pay one way or another. Anyone who considers themselves a loser simply lacks self-belief, and maybe is.
