Use AW as a starting point with a geographical search then cross reference anyone who takes your fancy on here. The soho walk up thread might be useful if that’s your thing as well. Beyond that just trawl the London reviews looking for locations that suit your purpose.

Personally I wouldnt spend £200 on a punt let alone £300, but if you look through UKP reviews you will find ample evidence that agencies do deliver first class punts in that price range. The agency cut is part of the deal, dont let your prejudices blind you to the reality of the business.

There are just as many, if not more, shite indies on AW than there are shite girls on agency books, doing your homework is the key, not blindly adhering on one approach.

I do not have the luxury of being able to plan punt days in advance. I prefer to make booking on the day with couple of hours notice at max. I do not have AW profile, neither do I want to create one. And calling up indies when they might be busy and waiting for responses just does not work for me.

With agency I usually get the confirmation either way within minutes even for a short notice punt. Particularly if you already have shortlist of girls from its site

Of course how it turns out when you are actually with the lady is a different matter.

You are solving a problem the OP did not have.  He is planning a punt in March.  You mention that agencies are good for last minute.  March is not really last minute.
