Tried once and we knew friends of friends so was a very uncomfortable feeling of being outed, nothing bad happened as of yet but you never know and always best to avoid the possibility. IMHO.

Yeah I kind of took it as read if it was your aunt/sister/whatever it was going to be a no, but what about say a lady at work?  A friend of a lady at work who you've met on a works night out....

I know a few girls from my uni who are escorting - always been tempted but as said above its not worth the risk - if I had gotten into the room and then realised it was someone I know then I would probably carry on as it's too late anyway and it's essentially a double-edged sword.

Before I joined ukp, another punter recommended a WG who lived only a couple of miles away from me. I'm not saying I was nervous about punting so close to home that it was a poor punt but it added an unexpected and in retrospect, an unwanted edge to my time with her.

Ever since then, I've always thought, "Don't shit in yer own midden" when it comes to punting within about 10 miles' radius of home. It's not just knowing, or having mutual friends with, the SP. It's the risk of bumping into 1 of her neighbours who you know.

If it was a close relative then I would not go ahead, and in any case I would hope she wouldn't either. If it was more of a casual friend or acquaintance I probably would go ahead. After all, once I had turned up the cat would be out of the bag so nothing to lose by continuing with the punt, assuming she was still willing. However, I suppose a lot would depend on who she was and on how embarrassed we both were.

When I first started punting I deliberately saw ladies who were about 20 miles away to try and reduce the risk of seeing someone I know. I am 60 and was concerned that if I punted with a WG in her early 30's she could turn out to be someone like my son's ex girlfriend or my daughter's school friend.
