I see this reasonably often for instance one SP I looked at this morning offering a 3 second clip for 4.20 credits.
Surely nobody is paying that and it would be a lot more profitable to ask a reasonable price and clip length.
Occasionally, if I'm very interested in making a first-time booking, but have some niggling doubt about her appeal which might derail it, I might pay an unreasonable amount for a candid pic or video. £10 for a clip is too much for my tastes, but in context of what might be a find which has caught my attention and the £000 I'll be paying on the booking, it might be worth it. More often than not though, that's not the case, and, like you, I begrudge a high pay-per-view, and skip it altogether.
I'm guessing the SPs that opt for high view viewing prices are weighing the risk of their being seen and judged vs the increased chances of lost revenue - both direct from videos, or from bookings which, as a result, don't happen.
