Author Topic: My.Adultwork the new "social media" version of AW?  (Read 2852 times)

I've just read the review linked below which quotes a review using a "my.adultwork.com" URL. Instead of the usual "External Link/Members Only":

...

External Link/Members Only

...

Opening the link takes you to an AW profile with a more polished social media style layout. It seems to show the same details as the traditional AW profile page, just a more modern look to it. I tried opening it with different browsers and it appears to change the profile theme's and colours depending on what browser I used. The images below show traditional style, alongside the new link viewed on Firefox, then on a screen shot of part of the same profile from Microsoft Edge looking completely different again:

I've also tried adding the profile number for different WG's. They also generate a glossier profile with the same details matching the original profile link. Some are much more colourful (not just purple and white), with a variety of layouts, so I wonder if the WG's chose them or they have been generated automatically/randomly.

Anyone noticed this before? Has it been around for a while and I've just never noticed?

I'm wondering if AW is looking to move away from it's old format onto this updated format. And if so, what affect that could have on how we use the site.

I think feature has been around for a while now. Maybe a couple of years.

I think so too and as far as I am aware, it's an automatic generation by AW.

When I type in External Link/Members Only into the browser address bar, I get a redirect to here: External Link/Members Only, which is interesting reading.. I can't seem to get to the responsive site directly but it is much better for desktops than the default site...

I think it's been up for a while and the layout is generated at random each time you go into it.

Sometimes it includes a panel on recent updates, which is something that's hard to find on the main site.

That panel can tell you if new photos have been added or the profile updated, which is useful information.

Thanks for the responses. I'm surprised I haven't noticed any mention of it before now.

Thankfully, it does look like it wasn't particularly popular with the WG's.

After checking a couple of profiles again since posting the thread I have realised that must be the case.

The variation in the profiles was one element of this revised site that I didn't like the sound of. It can be hard enough spotting dodgy profiles (e.g. wg's re-inventing themselves, B&S rings using duplicated templates, etc). If AW made it so easy for them to customise and change their profiles to such a huge extent it could make it even more of a pain keeping track of the wrong'uns. Although I guess it's something we'd soon get used to recognising again.

I know what you mean about the variation increasing the problem of spotting wrong'uns but I find the "MY LATEST UPDATES" panel helpful, especially if I'm suspicious the profile has been passed on from person to person. They can't hide the fact they updated it.

Especially if UKP members have posted feedback and images in their reviews you can check against.

Looking at the information provided in that updates panel I'm not so sure it would be that useful.

It states the WG has added pictures to a gallery, changed the profile details or profile summary. But doesn't give any indication what those changes were. As far as I can see there's no way to be sure if the changes were signs of a profile swap, or simply innocent updates to their photo's or other details, like new location info for example.

Unless you've spotted some info I missed?

Offline bops909

No you're right.

You can see some information about what the changes were (new photos, profile updates etc) but not the exact change made.

But it all paints a picture. Search UKP with the AW profile no, does it show any results with a different name or photo. If yes, then check in my.adultwork. Insert the AW number to fill in the blank. External Link/Members Only

If there are a lot of recent changes, taken with the pointer from the phone number, it points to a profile being passed on.

On the other hand no updates at all is probably a dead profile or a PG farmer.

I think it also helps if you hot list profiles in AW and track them over a few weeks to see how they perform. I note down the profile name and phone number at the point I hot list them so I can track changes more easily.

It doesn't help with the other kinds of scams in person like being short timed or no shows but it does whittle down the list of profiles to decide from.

I don't want to share too much details because when I'm replying to you I'm also sharing with the profile handlers who look at UKP.

But have a look at

External Link/Members Only

Name now Nick Lopez Baby. Profile dated from 11/02/2020.

Shows a phone number (447842946018)

External Link/Members Only

Look at the pattern of profile updates for

External Link/Members Only

And also the feedback on the profile, what it's for and who else that AW member has left feedback for.

I agree, that profile looks like a B&S, pretty much 100% positive. I understand why you don't want to tip Sergei off about mistakes he's making, so no need to go into the reasons.

I can't spot the issue with the feedback, except that it is Camming fb, not escorting. Looked through several of the profiles that have given him feedback, looked genuine as far as I could tell. Too time consuming to go through them all. There are plenty of ways for Sergei to get genuine Cam feedback onto a profile, which is why it's best not to trust an old profile with no genuine looking escorting fb. (Although that's harder to judge at the moment, with no escorting bookings or fb allowed by AW).

There are a huge number of profile changes going on. Which definitely adds to the suspicion. Personally I wouldn't regard that as proof on it's own, but it's definitely a good supporting indicator. So it can be handy tool to have in the box.

The babe in the photo's looks gorgeous, definitely my type. Shame they are probably pinched from some Instagram account somewhere.

I know what you mean!

It's such a fine line sometimes. So many photos just have that Instagram "look" and plenty of WGs do have IG profiles too. So is it B&S or is it a reposting?

This photo looks like it's from an Instagram account, which would be a warning sign, but when you look at the details in the photo, it's clear it's definitely recent and it's definitely in the UK.
