I wanted to warn you all. I booked a girl today and on the way in, I saw her profile, all stacked up, a review (I think fake) but she lets me in, and I do the usual, pay leave money whe leaves, I’m sitting on the edge of the bed when a large male walks in a proceeds to rob me, took my phone wallet cards, threatened me to give him my PIN number and before I could get home and report it to the bank, over £2000 has been withdrawn!!

Exactly what I was thinking. I thought there was a max limit you can withdraw from a cash machine, and I'm pretty sure it isn't £2000.

My thought also. BS post. Most banks allows max withdrawal of £300 per day. Unless OP didn't report he was robbed for 6 days.

The story sounds like a total load of bollocks. Although certain banks DO allow you to withdraw more. I can withdraw £1k a day although I have to do it in multiple transactions if it’s not my own bank’s machine.

Without specific details, it does sound like hard to believe. But the £2000 daily withdrawal limit is certainly possible.

You can withdraw more at the bank, but they ask you for further proof, i.e, ID. Most cards have hard limits from withdrawal at the ATM unless you contact the bank and ask them to lift. I don't think they ever give unlimited amounts due to prospect of someone taking out everything the machine has.

If what the OP has said is true or ever happens to anyone else, forget saving face. Just call 999.

Default limit will vary from bank to bank but is normally set around the £300 to £500 mark. But certainly you can ask bank to increase the limit. I did and set mine at £750 per day... imagine you could go higher but other than paying for escorts why would you have the need?

Also, can just do multiple withdrawals at regular cash points that have lower transaction limits, no additional questions asked. If your card limit allows it, of course.
