The are only two times that I ever count how much I spend.

1. The first is on the way to a punt. I take the exact amount plus some well hidden emergency money if I feel it is appropriate.

2. Planning a trip abroad. One has by necessity to estimate an amount for fucking prossies. I will usually calculate a day rate at cheap fanny prices then add an overflow in case an exceptionally top quality session becomes a possibility.

This is based on an attitude to punting that is “Don’t spend more than you will notice losing”. It’s like going to a casino: I estimate say £50 for an evening’s entertainment in pleasant surroundings away from the general crush of people. That seems reasonable, especially when it includes free or cheap food and drinks. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

I don’t go through Nik’s daily trauma of how punting/gambling “ruined his life” but his excuse is he sells books based on being miserable.

I started punting in May this year but I only had 1 punt that month and then started properly in July. I've worked it all out and spent £4280  still got 1 more booking left for this year too. I will really need to cut down next year but it gets addictive and there are still a lot of girls on my hotlist I still need to see.

You only notice losing it when you don't think it was all worthwhile.

I need to add it up, and that won't count the train tickets to Reading and Milton Keynes or driving cost to Leeds for some of my punts, nor any dinner I bought for escorts.

£1370 for me this year. That’s 10 punts this year. I normally do one punt a month. The coming year I can see myself possibly going more towards the £2k mark. I think I’ve settled on a bunch of regulars that I’ll hopefully visit more regularly.

Well finally had my last multiple punts last Friday. first in Walsall and second in Wolves. £60 for an hour and £45 for 30 minutes (Christmas offer) which comes to a total of £1,951 this year.

As of today I have had 4 punts and spent £380. I would not usually have this frequency of punts but spending the entire festive period at home with the OH has made me want to make up for lost time!

Ive been a bit lavish of late, decent bonus from work that the OH wasn't gonna spend got me over £600 worth of punts plus a bit diesel money..

      2x1 hr punts, £230 trying to half my bill for last year, which was £5000 +. 

Well managed to cut it down to about £3500. Verdict= fed up with the restriction, after the new year I will be punting when ever I am flush, and if it goes over £5000, well so be it.
