Author Topic: Regular is in suggested people you may know on facebook - advice please  (Read 2271 times)

Online Flailingben

Hi,

I have been visiting a particular service provider fairly regularly for a couple of months. I enjoy the service I receive a great deal, as well as her company (hence the repeat visits).

Suddenly she has appeared on the top of my suggested people I may know that facebook suggests. We have a couple of mutual friends (work colleagues I get on with well enough to call friends anyway). Does this mean I appear on her list as well? I have made no efforts to find her personal details or anything, but does this mean she has been looking for/at me already?

I would like to keep visiting her as things were, but wonder if this is wise now. Should I just block her facebook and move on? And is this just a coincidence due to shared friends?

Thoughts appreciated!

Too smart technology these days!

Why aren't you using a "thick" Sim only punters phone?

And how do your friends know her. Are they punters as well?

It's because you have her number saved on your phone. You must have given FB access to your contacts.

Use a punting phone as suggested above.

Do you use a separate punting phone?

If you used your work/personal number/opersonal email address to contact the WG, and then also use that mobile to access facebook, chances are facebook has "aasociated her wioth you (using your mobile number or your email address.

First and foremost.... unlink all numbers associated with your facebook account.

Then where she was suggested as a friend on your facebook profile, you can elect not to show her again.

EDIT
Keep Punting mobile phone and punting email addresses completely separate from your personal numbers/facebook.

Do not access your facebook account from your punting smartphone.

I think there's a setting on there that allows your profile to only be seen by your friends

I am not sure how they know each other, but relatively sure it is not through punting. I know at least one of the people I has a very close shared interest with her, which may have been how they met.

I have been very thorough with phone maintenance and contact details over the years to keep myself from being caught out like this. None of my social media or apps is linked in anyway to my number either. My phone is set up not to use location as well. This might be the thing that gets me a dedicated punting sim!

I think its just due to shared aquaintences, but am eager to hear other inputs and suggestions.

Do you have FB installed on your phone, which has her number saved in the contacts ?

Online Flailingben

Her number is not saved in phone. All call logs are routinely deleted by me (manually) as well.

Edit - i also have a dedicated punting email that I have been using for years

Once again do you have FB installed on the same phone as the phone you use to contact her ?

Have you shared WiFi?

Sorry, missed that part. Yes it is installed.

Also, never shared wifi

If you get on just block and move on. No reason to stop seeing her. She’s probably not even noticed.

I think when you start seeing regulars there’s a bit more trust there, or should be.

If you are worrying, I’d say don’t.

Offline Ballbrag

As far as I’m aware Facebook will link you with people that you spend a lot of time close to or nearby. For example a lot of my work colleagues appear on people you may know just because our facebooks are logged in on our phones and are in close proximity. You may be using a punt phone as may she but I’m guessing your real phone is still on you and switched on, as hers maybe too. Hope this helps.
But if you have something to hide just block her and carry on.

Offline DUX

I think it is to do with mutuals and possibly location as well. I've had suggestions though where I know them from years and years back that have been suggested despite no mutuals.

There's obviously something that links us but it's not immediately obvious. I guess friends of friends etc. It's just trying it's hardest to get you to add another "friend" and stay in their website.

Sinz has hot the nail on the head...

If you have Facebook installed on a phone (even if punting phone), moree than likely you have automatically given FB permission to access your contact numbers or dialled numbers. If she has also linked her mobile number to her FB (which a lot of girls do, e.g. browsing FB whilst working), then the two of you will be liniked, and the other will be a suggested friend sooner or later.

Matters get worse if you have used your personal mobile or your work mobile, contacted the WG from it, and then she is linked to you.

AFAIK as well as mobile numbers, this also applies to email addresses that you have contacted from your phone or stored on the phone.

As Ballrag says, you get the option to hide that person or even block, so do that and move on.

I previously sent a deposit to a well known leicester lass via PayPal and it shows her real name in the details
Facebook has now suggested I add her as a friend.
A quick view of the profile and it’s dormant but it is her and the last profile pic is with her BF.
I wonder if he’s still on the scene lol.

You have Facebook set up on a phone which has the SPs number saved as a contact. You can remove your number from your Facebook profile, block the SP, or invest in a punting phone :hi:

Offline myothernameis

Another possible reason, but dont know if this is part of the cause of other person appearing as suggestions on Facebook

Google location and timeline, so if you have been to a certain place near, the escorts flat.  This location will be logged on your phone, which I just wonder, if the Facebook app, can use, so then making friends suggestion

Offline Nottsguy69

Why don’t you just block her 🤷‍♂️

Hello mate. Get yourself a new SIM. Yours is now compromised. Doesn't mean anything bad will happen, but why take the risk? If you have a dual SIM phone, you could keep the second one for punting. Or else find or buy a spare phone and use it only for punting.
