I'm sure he's capable of posting a screenshot of the text message or email. Whether he is picking on a bad escort or not, I'm fair enough to give some benefit of doubt as so far he hasn't proven anything, but he also hasn't disproved it. If he can't do that in my opinion I think he deserves a ban.

from what i'm reading its just a couple of simple texts - delete them from your phone - wait to see if anything happens then simply claim identity theft / blackmail.  how much can they know about you personally after just a few texts except what they can find out online via google / fbook / linkedin etc.

IF your OH does accept a fbook request then flatly deny anything and tell her to ask the blackmailer to identify something you have like a scar or birthmark which they won't be able to as they didn't see you in the flesh. block any contact and do NOT respond at all.  It'll probably fizzle out

Quick update. There hasn't been any more text or FB message since yesterday morning. I ignored it all and blocked her on FB plus updated all the privacy settings so she can't really see much anymore. It was all true and genuine. And scary.
Can't share any text as it's been all deleted when I blocked the number from my phone.
I will agree 200% with the ones who said this game isn't for me. Scared the shit out of me for the rest of my life.

My advice: take a break, calm down, get a punting phone, and try again with someone who has several good reviews on here and no mention of anything dodgy.  Then decide if that experience was worth the risk - as there will always be some risk.

While I'm at a loss to see what law you would have broken, I believe she is pushing the limits on harassment and the MCA. The situation isn't sufficiently described to make a determination on whether it might violate any laws though it sounds like it's close to a bunch of infractions. Report it as a hate incident.
