I was like this too until a couple of months back when staff said they were no longer allowed to help me do bank transfers from the cashier desk. Basically forcing me to get the new fangled app on my phone.
Have to admit though the digital banking is so convenient - you can check your balance or transfer money 24/7, it only takes seconds, unless you have to set up a new payee, but even that only takes 2 mins to enter in their sort & account number. Maybe you should think about it too Home Alone. (I'd expect if you phone your bank they could talk you few the setup quite easily).
Trying to bring this back to punting, I've not used digital banking yet for my new venture into the world of eThots (using credit cards) but I'm sure it's just a matter of time...
Thanks but no thanks, jesse. I've lost count of the times cashiers have tried to sell me on the idea.
I remember when a neighbour of the OH and mine - I must be going back nearly 20 years - who was an accountant told us that there wasn't enough security for his liking on internet banking. Although I moved away from the district after the OH pissed off, I occasionally bump into him in town and make a point of asking has he moved into internet banking. He hasn't. If that's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.
Maybe when SPs start giving me their Sort codes and Account numbers, . . !
Although please also see reply #62 above.
