I have come across a fair few new posters the last couple of weeks.
Dit something happen somewhere? The amount of 0 review 50+ post members seems a bit off.
Noted some seem to be on the sensitive side.

Those tabloid news articles about UKP are to blame.
There is some newspaper group who have been running articles in each of their subsidiary local papers about UKP, it's as daft as BBC advising each of their regional offices to run segment about UKP reviews in their area, guess they need the revenue from the mouse clicks and ad impressions

And yes over past few days I've felt I'm dealing with much more moderation than a month ago. I have over a month backlog of PMs on UKE to deal with 

So far this month is going to be a record breaker in nearly every stat - whether it's reviews, posts or visitors.

Hopefully it'll calm down as we go deeper into this year, I've had enough of constant growth

Noted some seem to be on the sensitive side.

Quite a few delicate  ones, seem to pester the boss for non-reasons.

Interesting if they are coming as a result of the newspaper coverage, they may be genuine punters then, just a bit delicate.

It also could be the start of the year where all the pimps, agencies and WGs are broke after the holiday season and looking to increasing their advertising. Loads creating fake profiles to tout on UKP.

Hopefully it eases down as we go into the year.

I suppose we could also see an increase in bannings in future.
I am glad if we get new members, but as I've mentioned the greater majority have 0 reviews.They treat this as a social discussion forum.
So to all you newbies out there. If you want to be taken seriously, write a few reviews.

In all fairness, he has been around for a very long time and knows the forum very well. Also, good at sniffing out trolls. So would not rule out that he is not contributing.

That's my take on it too.
Luckily there are plenty on here who can sniff out undesirables.

Agree, he is the exception to the rule. Myself and James have a few things in common.
The increase could be due to the demise of the other fluffy forum.

As recent new member to site reason i came on was because when searching for massage/escorts this site came up and thought it would be useful which it has been.

For instance I notice a fair few 'classifieds' in the wrong locations on the forum.

As far as I can see, its been a success since it was introduced here a couple of years ago(?). I can only think of a couple of times review ratings were changed, or a topic moved incorrectly, so its been a helpful addition for you, without much of a downside.

I assume you mean "So would rule out that he is not contributing" because, by sniffing out trolls he certainly IS contributing.

Yes that will come soon on UKE, along with extension on this site's existing "helper" facilities, which is if there enough reports made of a member behaving badly then their account automatically freezes until I come online to investigate, then I can either unfreeze or go ahead with the banning or premod, etc.
