yes and i think its by bitcoin only. been a thread fairly recently about it. No doubt a mod or Admin will add more./

I think its to ensure only genuinely interested punters join - and also help fund the site.

Offline Duncy

Thanks for the info I will pass it on Shame because the price of a decent punt has already gone up just adds to the cost. I don't think I would pay that as well especially by Bitcoin.

Online southcoastpunter

suggest you read back again a bit later - in case i am wrong about the "bitcoin only" bit.

And i would have to say that at £20, that is pretty good value in what it can potentially save us guys in wasted money and time! And point us in the direction of good SP's too!

The price seems more than reasonable... It's the bitcoin element that would put me off. Surely there are other discreet payment services that can be used? In fact, I wouldn't even know how to go about a bitcoin payment... Though as the last poster says, I may be jumping the gun here. Will wait to see what Mods have to say.

I presume it's £20 for a lifetime membership? Even if it's £20 a year, it's still worth it as you can save money and chat with us charming folk.  :hi:

Didn't notice myself looks like BTC and BCH are supported. Still, £20 pounds but potentially saving thousands reading some of the reviews.

The site is now retaking new members with a twist. They will have to pay £20 to join, and to make it a bit more of a challenge; they will have to pay with BTC.
This should cut back on people making numerous account and getting banned and then returning, causing a lot of work for the hard-working mods.
Also, it should make the site completely self-sufficient.
Just to be 100% clear. No one already a member will be asked ever to pay a fee  :drinks:

I missed this... hopefully will keep future contingents of leeches well away!

I'm well up for a leech tax, hopefully applied retrospectively.

Thanks for sharing that. An interesting read even though some of it went a bit over my head! Might have to read it a couple of times to understand it fully.

Can someone please explain the current position with “guests” ?

It used to be you could view a small number of pages without logging in, but if we are now charging a fee to new members how can it be that we still have more guests than members at any time ?

Been meaning to ask this question too, thanks.

There are currently 2,256 Guests and 1,078 Users online. Surely all those guests can't be perusing only the 'punting abroad' section?

You deserve a rebate Sir.   :hi:

I made a similar comment on another thread, anyone can read reviews and comments on this site if they use a link provided from a search engine.

I think a guest can only see the punting abroad section listed, but can also click on one of the top category headings, ie massage, transexual etc, and get to read a limited number of posts within those specific areas. :unknown:

I believe there is a limit on the number of reviews/posts that person can read.

That is correct. I read several reviews via a google search until I was told I had reached my limit... Which is when I became a member. Once Covid restrictions have ended and I'm back in the saddle, so to speak, I look forward to adding some reviews myself. :)

There’s clearly a plan to monetarize the site as the links have appeared on the main page. I suppose if there’s a fee for new members they’d expect some element of service or at least not be singled out for being newbies moving forward which has unfortunately happened in some cases.

With the amount of twats and trolls that join I think it's a great idea. They might think twice if it costs money, whilst in the past the undesirables have had multiple accounts set up from the beginning as they already know they're going to burn through them.

Unfortunately some undesirable escorts, posing as silent punters, will probably join again as well, but not much can be done about that unless accounts are forced to post and review.

hmmm....conscious that things written don't necessarily come with the nuance of the spoken word so apologies in advance if I have misconstrued the inference. It has been clearly detailed that there is a need to generate some kind of income to help provide some support and improvements to the creaking infrastructure of the site. There was a call for donations to which many answered the call.

I think owners and admin have been suitably transparent about this.
