For past 2 months or so I've not been giving new access to the dedicated SA thread because after more than 559 verifications that I've carried out I no longer want to spend time doing more. Majority are leeches who contribute nothing despite me constantly warning they must post to keep access.

At the moment all those have verified in the past and posted in past few months retain (or regain for some) access to the SA thread (no further new members being given access though), but now there is a site rule change:

Before: No posts about specific SA profiles unless made in the dedicated SA thread
Now: Posting about specific SA profiles outside the dedicated SA thread is allowed but if you have access to the dedicated thread you can't copy info out of it to the rest of the site.

Anyone who does NOT have access will NOT be getting access to the dedicated SA thread, regardless of reason.

Be warned you post publicly about SA profiles at your own risk, if the "sugar baby" reads your public post (and she can do easily for posts outside the dedicated SA thread) then I will not be deleting the post should she pressure you to get it deleted. The advice is to share sensitive info via PM and if a public post is required then best not go into too much specific detail that you could be identified.

Could we have a category like Massage/Trans, for SA threads ?

So they could be filtered, it would be fantastic  :yahoo:

Offline leffe7

Bummer, this is ultimately what I wanted access to.

Thanks was just joining sa and getting ready for some guidance from here!

Offline Qwerty

Thanks Admin, very much appreciate the effort yo've put in up until now, but completely understand your not wanting such a hassle from a single thread. Really SA users should have our own forum, but I suspect there's no-one with your skill set among us.

This really is a little sad as I have recently set up a SA account and was hoping to join that thread. If only there was a way to do this that didn’t consume so much of admins time.

Offline Wood2017

Has there been another rule change?

Contrary to the above i had access to the seeking thread up until last night and today it's telling me i now dont have permission.

I thought i'd contributed by highlighting a few timewaster SB's recently..

Offline MrMagik

Same here. I just assumed there was another purge, but have no idea what the criteria are.

Offline Wood2017

Well at least i'm not the only one MrMagik

No doubt we'll find the criteria soon enough.

You should create a thread in the regional boards and post your scam warnings and / or your experiences and / or invite members to share your recommendations via PM facility.

Hi admin, thanks for clarication
I am using SA a lot and want to share experience, how could i join?

Read the first post in this thread.

So with the rule changes means there 'could' be posts about SA on the main board, but am I right in assuming that the the original thread is still active and therefore the hardcore (and most reliable, one presumes) posters will still be posting in there?

I believe that is correct. However, I'm also still slightly confused as since the rule change I haven't seen anyone post any SA questions on the main forum. If the SA thread is still active and being used by most people that already have access then I think it should only be fair to allow other members to also join or have another thread created specifically for SA for everyone to use.

I was a member of the other thread a while back, but the thing with SA is that we tend to join for a few months and then not renew the subscription (as it's so expensive), so we end up not posting anything hence lose access afterwards. Which is a shame really as it would be good to be back in that thread again.

It has previously been suggested that members without access to the SA specific thread that they should post SA questions/warnings etc in their own Regional Area forums  :hi:

Yes, I understand that but I haven't seen any being posted and I just wonder if it's people being reluctant due to lack of discretion on the regional forum as its not lockdown or because people haven't understood that they can post SA warning/questions in the regional forums.

Taken from post at the top of the page. (Anyone who does NOT currently have access will NOT be getting access to the dedicated SA thread, regardless of reason.)

Can understand the reasons as it must be an absolute pain in the arse for Admin to verify genuine people wanting access, Sod’s law personally as I’d just rejoined Seeking so its a solo venture these days. Will still post time wasters on regional thread when I no doubt encounter them.

Good. I very much doubt you deserved access the first time. You've been a member of this site since September 2015 and have contributed absolutely nothing about escorts and have seemingly only made about 2 posts in the SA thread, I'm sure also of no/little value.

Sounds like a sensible course of action.
Would be nice perhaps in the future if established members of several years standing were given access.
At least that would help keep out the trolls :unknown:

If a thread is semi-private due to privacy concerns, that in itself is moderation, so it makes no sense unless the thread is fully moderated to keep it within the ethos of the site. (Seeking is similar in a way to a) the massage thread where outing a spa as offering HE can result in it no longer being offered, or on the old ISG Argentina thread, where private (unpublished) photos of top escorts were allowed on a thread only admitting members who were verified as responsible).

A general discussion thread (open) of Seeking seems far more to the point. The way it works doesn’t mean that if a female on Seeking has agreed an arrangement with one punter she will do the same arrangement with another punter. Whereas genuinely helpful ‘tips’ between regular Seeking users could easily be exchanged by PM.

A thread that surely seems to me worth axing or at least quarantining (so links don’t end up on searches) would, in my opinion, be the popular but pretty useless ‘bubblebutt’ thread. See for instance the example I’ve quoted here and here.

Im sure that will piss a lot of people off.  :timeout:  But is UKP about helping punters find vfm punts or about having endless chinwags.

Can it not be about both? I was never aware of the “bubblebutt” thread until now, and have no interest. I will therefore simply ignore it, as I do the regional info that is irrelevant to me, along with the ‘world’ section  :hi:

The bubblebutts thread not only attracts verbiage but it interferes with search results, people looking for real punts, so it's about focussing on the prime purpose and protecting the essential value of UKP. Lots of other forums exist for chatwank threads.

I can see what your saying.
The ones that annoy me are the ones where OPs use the forums as their own personal storage device.

These seem to add little value, things you could learn just reading the reviews..

Indeed. And I see your example is the same list-a-holic that I highlighted on bubblebutthead-thread. Yet he’s a veteran reviewer as well, so perhaps he could just be persuaded to reduce his mass-post dredging of URLs. (Maybe he’s trying to help, but everybody did this the forum search facility would become useless).

I think the bottom line is to store your punts on UKP as reviews, not wishlists, hotlists, maybes, and ass size estimates.

What are people after from the SA thread?

If it's recommendations or information on successful arrangements then that doesn't happen and modifying access won't change that. Everyone pays £70/80 for a month's subscription on SA and there's no way people will reveal details of something they've put the effort to get.

If it's scammers then that's shared. Guys generally share the different time consuming failures they have.

So you'll certainly be warned about scammers. Maybe people can use this thread to say what they're actually after?

Having never had access to the thread I could already guess the above was true.  As well as avoiding scammers I was hoping to see tips and tricks on how best to use the site (as at that price I'd want to avoid rookie mistakes early on).  Alas, I guess I'll never know...

The current thread, with myself and probably a few others - I've shared details on there on the basis of it being 'closed'

while im aware and was when posting that the status of the thread and its privacy could change it would leave me shitting it from outting myself with the way I've shared plenty within the 'safety net' of talking to other experienced male users of SA - rather than it potentially open to all

Maybe a sub forum with a few specific threads - hotel offers, approaches, scammers, etc

but i think it would be a bit of a nightmare. the girls dont see themselves as sex workers - but that wouldn't stop men sharing details here on threads and PMs and could be quite a cluster if some people realize their details are shared as well as 'reviews' mortifying them. Again lots of girls arent pros. their numbers nearly always link to their social media and opens risks etc

In which case I would suggest deleting it and starting again on an open basis

i think the lads who have access quite like it how it is. Its a community within a community and doesn't really have any arguments now at all, which is good going.

If it was deleted it would be a shame. I've used it almost as a blog space, sharing experiences as they come along. its  nice to reflect back personally.

Suppose it being closed is a little selfish - but often new members to the thead who joined the thread were cranks or lurkers at best, white knights at worse relaying info.

Think a poster joining the thread having certain thresholds could be an idea (joined over x amount of time ago. contributed reviews or certain amount of posts over time etc).

Personally having most posts about SA 'public' would be trouble for the girls themselves, as well as drama for girls that get discussed - i don't want to sound like a shite knight, but they often join SA naively and dont realize what its really about. Plenty get bullshitted and manipulated by having men fucking them and not giving them agreed funds -playing on the girls own self fear of coming over sex worker like. Its a shitty stick more often than not for them. I know the vast majority I've met would be mortified at the prospect of someone discussing them on a punting forum (as hypocritical as this makes me, discussing even in the closed format).  Someone sharing details on here of girls and  potentially outting them seems unfair

i think it being open is just to much risk for the girls in question. they've put their details on SA which is public-ish but gives them some plausible deniabilty if someone they know sees them and questions it. Most girls have clear face photos and again they can easily be linked to their personal social media

if there are 'open' posts on here about certain girls and what they've done and more, on positive meets - then that deniabilty is gone and it could have a big affect on their personal lifes. people screenshotting details. I personally don't think thats fair to share their details on here.

the scammers and worse, deserve to be outted and would help punters and negate risk. But general girls on there don't deserve that - the nature of SA means its far less clear cut than standard punts with agreed terms

Seeking is not the same as AW or any other website other than a small percentage of it, even though punters see it that way.

A vast majority of girls on SA never meet anyone nor they seriously intend to. I think you'd meet about 5-6% of those you end up on whatsapp/mobile which is about 20-30% (TP would have better stats I'm sure) you chat on the seeking website so its a very small percentage that are actually open to meeting and most of these also don't see this as sex work so posting details on a public forum could have serious consequences for them and those who post.

Even if you were let down or stood up thats just the way it is, SDs do it as well. Unless its more than once and its obvious you were tricked its not fair to be posted in all cases.

Scammers of all kinds we can think could be posted but again some are just immature and would be mortified if they find themselves on a punting site.

Its not uncommon to find those you know on the site which you don't want to be posted on an open forum by others, after all none of us want anyone to be in trouble.

Just my 2 cents.

I think pressure for change will be because of people not thinking they're getting sufficient support from this site.

So to avoid change, those posting warnings about time wasters, known escorts and picture sellers on the private thead should also post on the public one. This seems an easy thing to do.
