I wonder just how accessible the AW data is on location when it comes to using it on UKP? AW gives a location based on postcode. It’s not 100% but still useful.
If you are working from a hotlist, no problem ... but what if you are working from UKP reviews?
For a small town it’s easy, but for a bigger town it’s very hard if you don’t know the names of the suburbs. If you are glance through the UKP reviews for say the Big Smoke, vainly searching for a suburb you recognise and could place on a map, it’s really a no go if you’re from out of town. You’d have to click on each one, click on the AW link, scroll down to ‘show a map’, realise it’s too far a trek, then go back to UKP, click on the next positive review and so on.
It would be great to somehow combine a google map feature (as AW does) but with clickable dots indicating all the SPs for a particular area at once. I don’t know how impossible seemed no that would be technically, but it would make SP searches for a big city far more accessible.
A workaround would be to persuade people to insert the postcode in review headers, but that would seem unnatural and not even that helpful to people who live there and already know the place.
