Without wanting to be passive-aggressive Matium, I really hadn't thought there was a names-required policy. And, as far as any credentials I might offer to help you discern that I'm not a troll or prossie-in-disguise, like many on here, once-upon-a-time I participated in Pnet, and there's a chance that JRC, Smiths, Matium and perhaps BillGoldberg might recall some correspondence with me back then. I can jog their memories. At the time UKP was founded, I received an invite to join from a founder member, but as I was contributing less to pnet for similar reasons of dissatisfaction anyway, I didn't formally join but did offer my best wishes.

It's been interesting to watch the evolution and steady improvement of this site, to the point where UKP has long since established a clear edge, especially from a punters POV. I assume that's now reflected in the comparative visitor stats. One of the reasons for that, it seems to me, is the relative free-hand given to contributors, providing they aren't obvious wind-up merchants. You don't have to like the above info - but there it is. We've all read the hints that others on here have experienced something similar.

That hasnt jogged my memory because when UKP started i was on a six-month punting break and wasnt posting at all, i only joined here in February 2011 upon my return.

Getting back to the original question, from my past experiences I think it is more common than what we would like to think it is.  In the past I have always preferred regulars rather than hunting around all the time and getting disappointed. Set up a new punting profile on AW ( so you don't tarnish your own)  Put £2 credit on it and then place an RB along the lines that you are looking for a one off opportunity to go BB as you always play it safe but want the thrill just one more time - make it a bit flowery - out of my character / reliving my youth etc etc., . Set the rate £50-£100 over the normal hourly rate for the area you are in and make it a 2 hour booking so that the fee is juicy. Make it incall or outcall and give it 10 days to run and invite them to bid or email you with a confirmation that they accept what you want in strictest confidence. Sit back and wait for the responses.......and read the replies back with all the crap about " I don't normally do this but just this once" etc.

Quite. My experience was 2 out of 2 long term regulars: that surprised me. But not as much as the 5 'first or near first-daters'. That was absolutely unexpected.
