Back in the day, bareback used to mean unprotected anal sex, in particular a reference/jibe/insult to gay men. This evolved into TSs and TS punting scene.

Somewhere along the line in the adultwork world, bareback and unprotected sex became interchangable. But yes, the original understanding was bareback = unprotected anal, unprotected sex = unprotected vaginal sex, and I am sure that's why there were two different "enjoys" boxes in the first place.
