Agreed, Adultwork is mostly rubbish, though there is the odd gem, I would never visit an aw girl unless she had good reports on here, (note- I do the occasional report myself)
But, most of my punting is in parlours, most parlours you can walk in and see what you are getting, see if their accent is English or not- though I have had many excellent punts with Portugese girls, and walk away if you don't like what you see, or wait for someone else. Manchester has a great selection of parlours to choose from, Bristol for instance, has a crap parlour scene.
Yes there are some adultwork gems, but few and far between.

Yep, and if you want to escort with them, they say they want you to "c2c" or "book a cam session" first. These cam sessions cost about £2/minute. I read somewhere that they will do this to scam punters out of money - they have no intention of actually meeting you.
