I don't think there's previously been a Fake Lips thread on UKP, so I thought I'd start one – inspired by some lips I happened upon today:

Why do they do it?  Among other things, it robs a face of much of its character and individuality.

You can understand why some may enhance them which I suspect are similar to the reasons why some get breasts enhancements (although the latter is more sexualised). I personally don't mind but like most things there is always a line where to much of an enhancement ends up looking a little silly.

Personally I don't like the lip fillers and I struggle actually looking a woman in the face and having a proper conversation if she's had it done.
To me I keep thinking that I shouldn't focus or stare at her lips in the same way that you try not to stare at a facial impairment such as a heir lip.

I'd also suggest that for many girls there is at least a small part of mental illness which leads them to do this sort of shit in the same way that anorexia can lead to a painfully thing person looking in the mirror and believing they are fat.

It is odd why they do it given that barely any blokes think it's a good look. I suppose no visiting punter is going to bother mentioning that he finds her lips a bit weird and daft for fear of souring the ambience so maybe they think they look sexy? Last girl I saw with lip fillers felt like kissing a hard blubbery whale - really unnatural and quite unpleasant.
