I worked in Oran for over a year. On Fridays our day off, a group of us would walk into town for a few roof top beers in a dilapidated hotel, then take a walk thru the Bordello area where sex workers fcuk Algerian navy personnel behind hanging curtains in derelict buildings, the filth and stench there is horrendous as the French filled the drains with concrete as they were pushed from the country. I did a further year in Tlemcen and Bechar.... imo it's the last place I would ever monger tbh
