I've also looked at the ads but gone no further- reason being just looking at the ads, most of the posters sound like a bunch of losers and skanks.

Also a LOT of scams on there. Probably most female-seeking-male are fakes.

It used to be -- and I used to use it frequently when it was -- the default site for finding WGs in the States. It was the go-to board for finding escorts while on business trips or at least certainly one of them. But the Craigslist Killer (Google it) put paid to that and the Adult Services section was shut down as a result. Now, Backpage (google Boston Backpage, Chicago Backpage or whatever) has taken up the slack.  Basically, it'll be as reliable as any other classifieds site (Gumtree, VivaStreet). That means lots of dross and a few hidden gems.

Enormous amount (90+) of emails scam which, ironcially, are not the slightest convincing, but the dross does tend to obscure the few gems that are there.

I've used it a few times and found some gems but as others have said it's now mainly full of bots,webcam girls,general weirdos looking for dick pics etc.

But when it works, it works very well. If you're offering money you'll be instantly ahead of most men on CL who are by and large looking for a free NSA.

No I advice not to use it, mostly it is men signing up as women to collect emails and pics, mabie there are 2 genuine women of every 30 post.

I too have had reasonable luck with Backpage. But punting in the UK and esp. in London is much better, both for quality and price.

I agree with this, I travel quite often and find myself using Backpage because it's a friendly site for the "less avid" punter.. So long as I'm not in a completely remote location, I tend to have good luck finding what I need.

The bs ads are easy to spot, at least for me.. at any rate, backpage is a good place to start
