Why do WG’s do this with their location? If I’m looking for an Incall in a particular area this isn’t helpful but also must lead to wasted time by the WG responding saying Dover when someone was looking for Maidstone.
The reason escorts do this is that many (perhaps most) punters search by town rather than by county. By listing other nearby towns as well as her own, the girl in question's profile will appear in the results list for punters who
ideally would like to find a girl in Ashford or Folkestone – but might be tempted if an absolutely stunning girl in Maidstone turns up among their results.
It is fair to point out, however, that the first town named is almost always the escort's "base".
Nonetheless I find this just as infuriating as m21kent does – since I don't travel far these days for escorting purposes, and my "town search" brings up masses of extraneous results where "my town" is second or third among the towns listed on the girl's profile.
If Adult Work wanted to help punters [!], it would include an option whereby a "town search" could specify that the results should include only escorts who list the punter's chosen town first in the list on their profile.
Alternatively, AW could allow only one town to be entered in the town field. Punters happy to travel within their region will anyway be searching on Ashford or Folkestone after they have searched on Maidstone, so will suffer no inconvenience.
