You mind me asking who that was with? I've used Max's a lot of over the years and I've not had anything like that. The Max escorts I've reviewed were professional and friendly, but not under the influence. I've heard stories in the past though, so maybe I've been lucky with who I've seen. I usually read reviews before taking the plunge, which I think helps avoid miserable situations like the one you mentioned.
