It seems a reasonable request to me.
The massage table is her livelihood. She doesn't want some morbifly obese 'Cyril Smith' character breaking her equipment that can put her business out of action for a week or two til she can get a replacement.
Before I offend too many fellas here I do appreciate that tall, over 6ft., big-boned guys can easily border that threshold in weight.
But if in the unlikely case there are guys in the 'Cyril Smith' mould, I suggest you might consider a crash diet and a bit more exercise, as a route to opening up your punting experiences.
