As I have mentioned a few times I carry a few extra pounds - well quite a few actually!  I have struggled to control this but have no will power, apparently punting is not enough exercise to help.

I was planning to arrange a punt this week but after weighing myself this morning decided that I would not let myself arrange one until I had lost 2 pounds.  If I set that goal each time I will either be much slimmer and fitter by Christmas or horny as hell.

Anyway wish me luck - I am off to buy some salad.

Has anyone else used punting as a reward system?

I do wish you luck as someone who once lost 5 stone in 4 months on a diet called the don't eat much one. I basically lived on water, Ryvita and Sardines. The interesting result was after I had lost the weight I felt like shit and it was winter and was I cold, yes I was felt fucking freezing so I purposely put back on a stone and a half which did the trick.

I didn't do it as a reward system for punting though, I did it because I was a fat bastard.

I often reward myself for fasting to lose a few pounds, and punting is the reward that motivates me best.

In my case it seems to slow down my system which can make for a crap punt, and so I stop fasting at least a day before punting.

I want to retire but my conscience won't let me ... for reasons I won't bore you with. I don't really need most of what I earn so I reward myself for doing a job I don't want to do by spending a fair bit of the money I don't need on shagging ... so in effect I get paid partly in sex rather than cash ... I find that motivates me much more.

Don't drink sugar filled drinks, if you buy salads make sure there's no dressing on it that has sugar in it. Cut down on sweets that aren't fruit.
You probably see where this is heading :D
Start building routine of exercise. Walk fast without stopping for 1h a day. If cardio is not your thing weight lifting will help you get rid of a lot of fat.

Be consistent and you'll see major change.

I have tried various rewards for losing weight before and like you say it has not worked, the lack of self discipline creeps in and I just take the reward anyway.  Going to try harder this time - and of course part of the reason for going public on here is to create some peer pressure.

So wow some great tips apart from the weightlifting a pretty pointless exercise for a fat cunt. As if your already a fat cunt you want to slim it off rather than adding bulk unless you want a bit more arthritis when you hit 50

I use punting as a reward for saving X amounts of dosh.

Although currently, due to the mass of rubbish pro$$ies and over-inflated rates, I'm just saving it.  :thumbsup:

Rather than postpone each punt until you have lost x lbs I think it would be better to award yourself some kind of extra treat (punt) for certain milestones. Otherwise it's far too easy to say fuck this I'm going to punt anyway and probably as a consequence give up on your diet.

If you want to lose weight then you need to create a calorie deficit - just by consuming 500 fewer a day than you burn off you will lose 1 lb a week.

Have a look at the myfitnesspal website and app - makes logging food intake easy and is free to use.

Weight lifting is not pointless and some form of it is good for older guys. I'm sure there is a safe way to do it when you're 50.
For a grown man it's probably easier to get in to than running. I'm no expert to give precise advice but I'm sure you can find someone at the gym that can help.
If you spend years training your body to accumulate fat and be stagnant it will take effort to teach it to move around.

Problem with punting as exercise is that if I would try to go at it like I'm training I'd probably cum to quickly :D

There WAS a quick way for me as I posted above, I lost 5 stone in 4 months, not advising anyone else to do what I did though which was to eat hardly anything and drink as much water per day as I could, thus pissing the first 3 stone off. Get qualified medical advice is my advice rather than just listen to people on the net. I needed and had iron determination and stuck with it, the irony was I took too much off and purposely put some back on as I felt terrible and cold. I did seek medical and nutrition advice but decided to ignore it in the main.

What these two said is the way to go. You don't want to lose weight, you want to lose some fat and also start focus on building muscle. Both of these things take time and you'll need patience to see any results. You'll need to fix your diet and start training (cardio and weights).

Plus combine an escort visit with a cheat meal and you've got some serious incentive to keep it up.

When you say that fat is not bad for your heart, it depends what you mean.

Some fat is bad for your heart (e.g. trans fats) whereas some fats are protective of heart function (e.g.: polyusaturated fats).

It will be interesting to see whether the desire for sex will outweigh (excuse the pun here) the desire for food.

I do not think I have used it as a reward system as such. Though I can remember when I was younger, when in the company of a 'beautiful WG', I did feel the need to be in 'reasonable shape'.

I couldn't physically eat more than I do already so I guess I'll never be able to lose weight following this plan ... though by rights from what you're saying I should be skinny as a bean pole by now.

Is 3000 calories a lot? Breakfast and beer probably accounts for that.

Many moons ago I used punting as an incentive by picking out some exotic positions
that could only be achieved by having a flat stomach and using that as an incentive.
Cutting out all the junk food and plenty of walking helped to keep the waistline down.
Can't be bothered now and as I mostly go for massage + HE the few extra pounds don't
matter plus giving up the beer and replacing it with white wine isn't very appetising!

Works a lot more than I thought it would when I started doing it as a joke.

Bloody hell, you must have some will power during a punt to deny yourself the extras. When I'm in a punt, then I'm going to make sure I get what I want out of it.

Back to the OP - I've been on the 5:2 fasting diet for almost 3 years, and it works really well for me, lost weight quite quickly and steadily and have kept it off External Link/Members Only. The science behind it is pretty interesting and convincing.

You do get used to the fasting days quite quickly, and I often use some sort of reward to get through the day (like tomorrow I'll have a beer/chocolate bar etc). I think that using this as an incentive for a punt would be really good.

When I'm away for work and trying to fast, I sometimes have a punt in the evening instead of a meal. The only problem is that I can't put in on expenses :(

I need to lose some lard.

I am going to set myself some fortnightly targets. If I hit a target my punt for that period will be one hour. If I miss then it will be 30 minutes.

Very true that. If you were dieting I used to advocate only weighing yourself every 4/6 weeks in order to (hopefully) see some meaningful change and mitigate any "blips" due to a few days off your regime. BUT..... I've warmed to the approach of weighing yourself everyday...... you then get an instant feel for how the past 24 hrs has affected your body. You soon make very stark connections about how that lazy beer-fuelled weekend set you back a couple of pounds or that couple of days of healthy eating and walking to work caused the loss of a few lbs.

I've also started lifting weights again, it's the only thing (combined with some long sessions of cardio) that shifts the flab and gives me shape and strength.

Last night I read some new feedback on AW of a girl I really want to see.  Her review for the punter was something like "You can tell this guy takes care of himself, he's fit/sexy and amazing in bed with a good cock...wish I had him all to myself..."

Her friend also said the same about another guy (I also want to see her too).  I know it shouldn't matter because they're providing a service, but I know for a fact back when I was 'fit' I received a far more enthusiastic response than when I was not so fit. Having a girl grab your arms and put her hands on your pecs is far more preferable than them noticing your man boobs!
