I’ve been asked to bring googlepay as payment,

Not a deposit, but bring it with me.

It feels like a scam, but not sure why - surely robbing me of cash would be better 🤷‍♂️

Has anyone had this?

Really - just no.

Cash is punting’s currency, unless you want to take a risk re your identity being compromised, and everything that potentially goes with that scenario.

At some point cash will disappear, but while it’s still around I’d be using it every time, regardless of how persusive various WGs are re electronic methods.

You’ll likely sleep better as a result.

It’s a scam they want the code to redeem before you get there. Any deposits, booking fees or gift cards payments are all scams.

Not sure of the scam but it sounds a bad idea plus she has your account name and it will appear on a bank statement, I’d strongly suggest you don’t matey

Hand the card over at arrival............but will insist on getting the card number off you before you arrive, then breaking contact
