Post-COVID Budapest
Decided to take a sneaky trip to one of the few punting paradises we can actually visit right now – Budapest.
The city feels very much up and running, back to normal if quite with nearly no tourists. Additionally, the spas are all open as are nearly all restaurants for when you are on punting downtime.
I saw a few street walkers knocking around the centre but I was not there for that, nor for escorts more generally – but rather for a trip to a strip club, which I have missed a lot, and for erotic massages that EE cities do so well.
Strip clubs:
As I said nearly everything open including the clubs – but very slow and this is particularly true of the strip clubs. Went on a tour of the usual “P” clubs – almost totally empty around 10-11 on a week night – was odd to be the only customer in a usually busy club. Also, no extras nor take away options seemed forthcoming so I didn’t stay in any of them for a long time.
However, “Club Candy” strip club, albeit small, was very lively and full of punters. Again, no extras but had. A great lap dance and a good laugh there – the staff were also really kind and helped me to get back my phone that I left in a taxi they called – which was very much appreciated.
Massage:
I love the erotic massage parlours in EE cities. Budapest they close much earlier (8pm ish) than other cities and from my limited experience are not quite as high end. Tried “666” in the centre and regretted it instantly – the girl talked shit the entire time and was the opposite of erotic and the massage was poor.

This plus good food, a dose of normality and the public baths made for a great trip.
