So I check into the well known chain hotel and they give me my key card. I get to the room and swipe it. No joy, red light flashing. I try again, same thing. Maybe it's upside down? Nope. Other way up? Still no. One more try the normal way...at which point the door slowly opens, even though the green light didn't flash. That's strange I thought. At which point I notice the hand come around the door and an attractive, blonde, middle aged lady in a white bath robe appear. The room is dark and warm, even though it's light outside. I didn't immediately twig she was an escort, as I was a bit surprised to find someone in my allocated room, but I did think it slightly surprising she was alright with opening the door in her robe. We exchanged pleasantries and I apologised for disturbing her and said I'd go back to reception to sort it out.

It was only after getting into my correct room that I started to wonder if she was an escort, so I logged into 'you know where', put in the hotel postcode and Bingo, she was the first result, 0 miles away! Not only that, but there was another escort (and quite a sexy squirty one) also staying in the same hotel. This was looking like a proper vice den.

I wish now that I'd been a bit quicker on the uptake and said something like 'I don't mind sharing if you don't'. I mean, we all know the scene, so I let myself down a bit.

Before you ask, no I didn't book her.  She wasn't the type I would have looked for. I saw her down in the breakfast buffet the next morning, wearing civvies and got strangely shy to go up and say good morning, even though I would have maintained my ignorance of her trade and it would have been a perfectly natural and appropriate thing to do.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. Have any of you had, or nearly had an accidental punt like this? I'm certainly going to cherry pick where I stay when I'm out on the road from now on!

I assume you mean AW? I didn't know you could look up a postcode so specifically as the full hotel postcode. I have only been able to look up by the first part, say W10 which could be several mile radius, but not the 2nd part that would identify an actual road or possibly a large building. Where do you find that?

Ha! Ha! I did wonder about that. The young receptionist was ever so nice about it, but you never know, it's a long shift and probably quite boring. If this particular hotel is on the touring girls rota then I've no doubt the receptionists can spot the signs a mile off. Why else would an attractive single women be staying for three nights in an anonymous 'travel tavern' when everybody else generally stays for only one night to break a journey? I may very well have been 'fed' the room for a laugh.

Some hotels are prone to make this mistakes, especially on "day rate" hires. A couple of times I was given a rooms only to find someone's luggage in it. Also once I got walked into by the maid when I was balls deep in a woman I met off Plentyoffish.

I would say getting mixed up with day-rooms is a common occurrence in hotels who don't keep proper records or train their staff properly.

I've had one in a hotel in Hull before. 
She was a few doors down from me so very convenient, although to be honest, shouldn't have bothered as I walked part way through.

Then you simply set the radius to 1 mile and you can be sure that anyone who is 0 miles away is likely to be in the same building or at least right next door.

Honestly, the mobile version of AW is much better than the normal desktop version IMO.

It can still only work on the first half of the postcode that the escort puts in and that can cover several square miles. All you are doing is letting your phone locate you, it's no different to you putting a postcode in manually. Your phone can only pinpoint your location, it can't pinpoint anyone else's unless connected on the same social media.
