Only slightly off topic, but in the spirit of academic research and for no other reason, I took 20 mg of Tadalafil (Cialis) at 10 am today prior to a languid lunch with a young WG. Octopus washed down with a couple of glasses of excellent Sauvignon Blanc, all gooseberry and citrus overlaid with hints of nettles...but I digress.
At 2 pm we engaged in congress with no delay in ejaculation.
At 6 pm, as I write, I discern no obvious side effects to my physiology; no headache, no blurred vision and no dyspepsia. My wallet, on the other hand, has suffered severe depletion.
Not a large enough sample to warrant any sort of conclusion, but I am satisfied that for me, Cialis does not incur short term side effects.

Over to you, Doc H.

Apologies only just seen this. The consumption of Octopus (a perceived ancient aphrodisiac) may have influenced matters?
I cannot really comment any further on this as I am no longer a practicing Sturgeon.

I buy Sindenafil 50mg tablets from Doctor Fox and drop a half if I know I have a big session coming up.

I’m 43 years old, and not on the soft without one. But it’s good fun when I can feel its effects.

I haven’t noticed any ill effects beyond the time when I took a whole one and kept waking up in the middle of the night with a rod like a pool cue.

There's hardly any difference in price between 50mg and 100mg. Why not buy 100mg and take a quarter?

I think I took the middle option when I first signed up. Now I just click on repeat prescription, which I have done twice. I’ll maybe get some 100s the next time.

I've already taken all sorts of pils. Got side effects with all of them, except Cialis.

Cialis affects my balance.

Does anyone know if Viagra or any other ED drug makes your heartbeat faster? I occasionally suffer from palpitations and have always chosen never to try one due its affects on the heart according to what I've read.

Viagra would naturally tend to make your heart beat faster, it dilates your blood vessels so your heart works harder to maintain your blood pressure.

As for the palpitations, you definitely ought to see your GP, especially so if you want to take Viagra.

Dunno, but they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Having had long term Atrial Fibrillation which required a Pacemaker and other medical interventions my GP was well aware of my medical history. In consultation between him and my Cardiologist I was prescribed originally Viagra and then due to side effects Cialis which i have found to suit me with no side effects. I hope this helps.

When you dilate the blood vessels normalty the arteries the blood flows easier as their less constricted!.

Thats the idea to allow the blood to flow thru the penile blood vessels.

Viagra was once a test for a blood pressure reduction medcine then some noticed odd desirable side effects:)

I'm not a doctor but I understand basic Physics. You obviously don't.

When you increase the bore of the pipework there'll be a pressure drop unless the pump works harder. So when blood vessels are dilated the heart will have to beat faster to maintain blood pressure. And yes of course, if you open the blood vessels in the cock it will get hard/harder.

If you read my post again, you'll see it was in response to a guy that said he got palpitations. That's why I said he ought to go see his doctor.

Probably EAS?  External Link/Members Only

Definitely not EAS my friend. I'm as hard as nails so no chance of that happening. :D
The palpitations are not often and nothing to worry about. I only asked about Viagra because everyone keeps raving about it and I thought I'd give it a try.  :hi:

Thanks for the medical insight.  But no doctor can help unfortunately, and it's not dangerous at all, just have to make sure I don't get too excited, that's all.  :yahoo:

Fair enough Hobbit, sounds like your palpitations have been looked into professionally already.

I'd still advise you to see your doc about adding Viagra into the mix though, unless you're very confident that it wouldn't affect your condition.

As for not getting too excited, well that would kind of defeat the object in seeing WGs, would it not?  :D Go easy, take care.

Think of it. Pump can output a given pressure for a given rate of pump rate.

So pump has a pipe connected of a small diameter. Flow rate for a given pump ourput is "x"

Pump now has a bigger pipe connected so pump can either increase flow rate/ammount for the same pump rate or the pump can slow the rate to maintain the given flow rate as what the smaller internal bore pipe would allow.

The pipe as its bigger has less flow risistance:)

Thats how blood pressure reduction works the arteries dilate, ie get bigger so the pump (Heart) does not have to work so hard hence the reduction of blood pressure.

Candesartan is a type of blood pressure-lowering medicine called an angiotensin receptor blocker.

Like other angiotensin receptor blockers, candesartan relaxes and widens your blood vessels. This lowers your blood pressure and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body.

Viagra does the same but works as described here,

An erection happens when nerves in your penis are stimulated. Then, muscles around two cylinder-shaped chambers of spongy material along your penis, known as the corpus cavernosa, relax and allow blood to flow in, causing an erection.

With ED, your nerves don’t communicate properly with your brain and blood doesn’t flow properly into the corpus cavernosa. Taking Viagra relaxes the walls of your blood vessels and lets blood flow more easily into the parts of your penis that cause an erection.

As to Palpitations, get them myself doctor says their harmless he says he gets them himself too!.

However what may be OK for me may not be OK for the OP!!
