Can anyone help out, I have  tried a few times posting private messages, I write the message fill in the required boxes, press send and Hey Presto, nothing,
I have looked on the site for an answer and cannot find one.
Excuse my ignorance if I am missing something obvious.

The PM facility is not automatic. It is granted by admin, and measured against a set of criteria ( which is not made public). As you're relatively new I'd say you haven't yet met those criteria

I was going by the low post/review count, thought he had to be  a newbie. Still won't have made the criteria.
