I could be wrong but I’m some Roms speak German (being German Romanians) and are actually an ethnic group in Romania. So technically both is correct. I’m sure as well in the past I’ve met Roma who spoke German but still had the typical rom attitude and lack lustre service.

Surprised by the op’s rating as well. £80 for a EE for poor attitude and refusal of some services but his review so respect his decision.
