Longest break from punting you have had?

Currently on the longest break from punting since I started being a regular punter in the uk. I've just hit the month mark keep looking still really tempted but I'm trying just to have a few quality punts. Less regularly than usual. Trying to stop the last minute impulsive punts.

I've never had a break as such. On rare occasions I've abstained for a couple of months but that's been purely down to circumstances and not planned stoppage.

I do wonder if most punters, especially those that have been doing it for a while, crave one day not to have to punt. As much as I enjoy it, it is an empty fruitless pastime fraught with disappointment and that's without the massive financial waste. I could of bought another house and more with the money I've spent. Unfortunately it's an addiction, for me anyway. If I'm brutally honest, an addiction I barely keep under control. No break coming up soon for me.

However, I know circumstances (ie no money, in a relationship, bored etc) has caused me to go exceptionally long spells without a punt as opposed to use of  my own will-power which has only lasted at best several weeks.

3-4 years. Had a good regular before she disappeared. Tried quite a few others but got fed up with shit service (well before I'd ever heard of this website) and the self loathing. However, I've just taken the plunge again and it was fucking fantastic. Somehow, I have a different mindset now of "fuck it" and I won't get a better chance to fuck hot young women again and so long as they pretend well to enjoy it, then that's good for me.

I stopped the last minute impulsive punts in the autumn last year. Since then I've punted a couple of times a month rather than every week and really enjoyed myself. I also notice that in that period I've only had one poor punt (with a girl who had 30 odd positives on here at the time). For me, there's a strong correlation between impulsive punts and crap punts.

I've got a note of my punts and in the 6 years since starting I average a punt a month, but I've had 3 long-ish breaks, a 4-month, a 5-month and a 6-month.

I'm currently at 3 months since my last punt. This is mostly down to my lack of interest in the WGs locally and fewer travels on business, but with some effect due to a rise in spousal service. But the interest in a punt is getting strong now so I don't think I'll be setting a new record...

Totally agree with the above. Very similar to myself, been over 20 years and although I've cut down a lot, I very much doubt I'll stop. Only 36 hours till my next punt.

Stayed away from punting for 6 years, and in that time I managed to chat up (and fuck regularly) a bored housewife. I even tried for a couple of years to spend quality time with the Mrs, and really make a go of our rare sex life .... Epic fail, I give up, she isn't interested in sex .... I had a nine-month break about 12 years ago... I'd decided I was going to give it up because I'd had a lot of mediocre experiences. Reality just never lived up to the fantasy in my head. I can't remember why I fell off the wagon, but I do remember it was a lacklustre punt and left me thinking why. Since then, maybe two months has been my longest period of abstention.

I've had some great punts over the past few years because I've discovered role-play, which gives you a better chance of the encounter matching your fantasy! Bad role-play is awful, but when it's right...

The moment I decided to have a break was on the long drive back up north from Birmingham. After sending £190 on a punt and thinking what a waste of time and money it was. Not really sure when I'll return to it. Don't get me wrong had some amazing experiences punting but seems either my expectations are higher now having had those amazing punts!
