The OP's post is the kind of blinkered nonsense of so many members of that Manchester board who seem to think the punting "scene" (what a fucking ludicrous word) consists of a few clapped out brothels housing shagged out conveyor belt prossies. For them the indies don't exit.
At the moment AW has 620 profiles for Manchester, VS 336. Then you have the Asian parlours and numerous agencies. Anyone claiming the "scene is dead" (or dying) is a fool. Parlours are dying, because that business model is redundant and dying - you just need to adapt to the way the trade is developing and learn to search the websites
I think dying was pobably the wrong word, and it's more about the opportunities for good value punts reducing ..... which I suppose could feel to an individual like their scene is dying.
It boils down to simple economic theory.
Only Fans and other stuff reduces the supply of girls available to parlours.
Sandys closing has already wiped out a quality supply of parlour girls.
Covid reduces the supply in total, and the demand, especially in parlours.
This fuels a higher demand for independents / AW.
Without a subsequent increase in supply, AW prices rise.
We end up with piss take pricing threads, a reduction in supply (quality) in parlours, and people struggling to find good value punts, and calling it "the scene dying".
