The way I see it, work pays for the punting, so why would you put it at risk?  Get caught out and that spare income needed for punting may not be around much longer.  Punting, like any other hobby, is something to do in your spare time.

Luckily have a job as a sales rep and always punt in works time makes up for the times when you have to work late and the odd Saturday .

If I punt on a school day I usually do it lunch time in my time the advantage I have is I’m in a job that allows me to work flexible hours so if I take longer than the hour no one cares as long as my work is done.

That said I have worked form home as I’m  attending a ‘hospital appointment’ then pissed off across the Pennines for a girl who only works midweek during the day. Well worth it too.

Yep, just as how others have mentioned, ideal time for me are on days I'm working remotely from home. No one cares until I get the work done.

Mostly work alone at home while the missus is out. So I can sometimes take my opportunities if she is out at her job, but my strength is failing.

I was semi-retired when I began punting & had 2 part-time jobs to eke out my works pension - & my punting budget!

One was 2½ days a week; the other was 3-4 days per month so I could easily fit my punting into the non-work parts of my week.

Yes, that's good sense, imo. My works pension's always paid at the start of the month but my State Pension is paid every 4 weeks so its payment date varies. When I was punting more regularly than I am at present, I used to have an appointment within a couple of days of each payment hitting my bank account.

These days - it might be my age; I don't know - I'm punting much less often. As I posted on another thread recently, I'm finding the whole process of finding an adequate replacement for my last, much-missed Regular just too much of a hassle.

Used to have a job that required visits to customers so would arrange a punt during that time.
Now I'm on a rota that gives days off in the week so go when I can then.
Otherwise, infrequently,I catch up with a mate in London so I either go before or we each book someone at similar location and time and then we go on the piss afterwards.

Yep. Sounds like the same buzz I get if I use public transport to get to and, especially, from the appointment.

Even if I look my age, I don't feel it on my way home. It's all I can do not to wear a smug  on my way home!
