she is not a hooker.  She neither sells sex or time/companionship. I have never paid her anything - neither as a PPM or allowance. I take her out sometimes to nice restaurants and go to some sporty/active places and have taken her shopping once. well in that case i don't mind being hooked and or deluded etc- apart from paying a few dinners out (for which she is great company) i have spent less than £200 on her and we have had (great) sex 7 or 8 times including 3 overnights.

The attitude of living for now and letting the future worry about itself does seem to be very prevalent among WGs.  But then I think that is true of the young in general. 

The idea of saving for your future was ingrained in me when young - you had to save for the things you wanted, as borrowing was next to impossible for most.  Now that it is so easy to borrow money, and interest rates are next-to-nothing, saving seems to be a mugs game.  Spend what you have got, and then max out on the plastic, seems to be the current way of living.
