Author Topic: New to this, Pornstars for Christmas - Dilemma - OWO and hep b  (Read 1010 times)

At first I had ignored this concern. I appreciate it has been done before i thought i would share my concerns with the aim of perhaps assisting others.

I always go for OWO and tested negative for (Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and HIV) after the first few escorts i have seen.

Having read contradictory materials online, NHS seems to push an extremely risk averse attitude to everything whereas a number of other reputable sites and specialist sites seem to state otherwise.

I do not know if i am vaccinated against hep b and have foolishly booked 4 decent escorts including two well known UK pornstars.

After seeing an escort a few weeks ago my fears took over and i opted for OW.

While I can go to the Doctors and have them print off my vaccination history (if i have been vaccinated all is well) however if not, it would mean getting vaccinated which is three doses at different intervals. This would mean i have ruined the next three pricy punts by having to opt for OW?

I appreciate I am being very risk averse but What would you do? rationally and logically it makes sense to cover up despite the odds being stacked astronomically in my favour of not contracting liver ailment.

You’re right but that’s just Hep B. Vaccination can fail, you need to check antibody levels to be sure.
HIV has a seroconversion window of at least 6 weeks, maybe upto 12 and that’s irrespective of ‘FAST’ tests and Antigen detection and what not. So you need to check HIV twice to be sure.  :scare:

If you’re a pant shitter that’s a long OW period then  ;)

I'm not sure this punting lark is your cup of tea OP. Maybe stick to tiddleywinks but be sure to wear goggles just in case.

In most cases owo have almost nil chances of hiv

Hepatitis B is not a standard vaccination, so unless you had a reason for requiring it e.g. travel, or working in an at risk profession, then you won't have had it.

Assuming though, that the "Pornstars" you mention are the real deal, then they've undoubtedly taken more care of their health than you have, so probably little to worry about.

I kinda agree with this sentiment.

The are risks to everything we do. It’s best not to focus on the bad side and just try to enjoy the moments. You’ve booked a couple of pornstars, you should be concentrating on living out some dirty fantasies rather than the ‘what ifs’

Have fun  :hi:

Millemiglia - agreed 100%

Thanks all i acknowledge your input and the fact that I am being overly cautious.

After phoning around I am of the belief I have fallen for the scaremongering.

hepbpositive.org - No risk from receipt of oral.
TerranceHiggins - No risk
Medhelp - probably no real risk
Private STI clinics - tried to sell me every test and vaccine for half a grand odd.

Conclusion - I am not sure i have the patience to get my vaccination history, get a booster/or accelerated course (@£180 ) and then continue with OWO, on the balance of probabilities and risk I will probably opt for OWO :drinks:

I will write up concise and detailed reviews for all encounters past and future in a couple of weeks time.

Regards all,

Also, the tiddlywinks comment made me laugh as i was actually involved in a similar game as a child with weighty "tiddlywinks" pieces, one of the players was sent packing after receiving a laceration above the eye.

If you tell your local GUM clinic you’re a punter they’ll likely vaccinate you for free.
If they don’t, then tell them you’re a sex worker and they’ll definitely vaccinate you.

doesn't matter whether you know if you've been innocculated for hep B or not, they can just test a blood sample and see what your antibodies levels are.
FWIW  a few months back there was a world shortage of hep B vaccine and doses were being rationed to high risk people only - it may still be the same situation. However there were still ample supplies of hep A/B dual vaccine, normally only given to gays. If you have the choice its worth getting the dual vaccine

and the shots will be free at an NHS clinic: tell them you like barebacking thais and romanians

Thanks again,

Yes it seems NHS clinics and GP surgeries do not offer hep vaccines routinely or even when travelling to high risk areas (SE asia) where a ridiculuous amount of nationals (about 80% odd) are carriers.

It just crossed my mind i did not get one when visiting Thailand 7 months ago now.

Seems for those who wish to be vaccinated it is a case of providing good enough reason as mentioned in above posts and waiting 3-6 months (for all doses) or paying for an accelerated course @ £60 per dose (3 doses required over three weeks) or simply getting a booster.

Of course you could always get on with it and disregard the above alleged "risk" altogether...

Agreed - First time I went for a test, because I saw prostitutes, they vaccinated me - two doses I think and and followed it up with a test to ensure it worked.

Still the case re. HepB vaccine... Boots are stating UK shortage of it.

Offline Mr333

I got the Hep B vaccines at my local GUM, I told them I'd been seeing commercial sex workers which was seen as a risk factor sufficient to warrant vaccination. There was an initial jab and then a couple of follow-up boosters.

They check for antibodies on each visit. It's always come back fine, it must be at least 5 years ago I had the jabs.

As to the health anxiety, it will spoil your enjoyment of punting if you let it.

Hep B isn't a risk for owo, it's not contained in saliva at all. Blood and seminal fluid are the main risks.

But if you're honestly that worried rubber up for all of it.
