Author Topic: Techie question - difference between “Logged in” v “updated”?  (Read 858 times)

As we know AW <Search> <hotlist> (Rather than tapping the name of the hotlist) <hotlist> <+>
gives a precise update of recent activity on a profile.

Can anyone share what the difference is between “Logged-in” and “updated”?

Point to a relevant thread if it is easier.

Many thanks.

Thank you.  So how is it some profiles are updated after the most recent log-in?  I would have thought you need to be logged in to edit the profile?

Maybe it uses the time of the login rather than the time of last known activity?

Just keep changing to another screen in the profile before the 20 minute automatic logout kicks in and you can stay logged in all day with the first login time still showing. Then every now and then change something on the profile to get back to the top of the listings.

A good indicator that there is a receptionist/Sergei in the picture as if a SP has greater than a 15 minute booking she would get logged out.

I am still confused.  I have this line on my hotlist

Notes      GULIETTA BABE (0) Escorts - Click to book   Incalls   Finsbury Park Euston Islington   Thursday 22:47   Today 10:02

The first date and time (Thursday 22:47) denotes the most recent Loggin time, the second date and time (Today 10:22) denotes the most recent update.  I am trying to figure out if this girl is actually working at the moment and it looks like she hasn't logged in for four days but "updated" her profile somehow today?

I don't understand that either...you have to login to update.

I'm sure I heard (can't remember where) that permissions can be delegated for a group manager or similar to update a profile. In that case the profile can be updated with out the owner logging in.

Maybe she had scheduled the phone number to appear today and it updated without her logging on?

Best to call her IMO

she is not in a group or would have the group link at the top.

Didn't know you could actually check the time the sp had logged in?     ;)

On Firefox, I have downloaded "Reload Every" and set the seetings for AW to 15 minutes, so that the page is automatically refresshed every 15 minutes, so that you can stay logged in all day (unless you lose internet connection).

Used that for turn based online games years ago, not sure what advantage it would give an SP though, unless she doesn't actually know it's running.

I may be seeing her later today.  I have not started a punt with an IT query before.

If she's not able to get to her profile (e.g. with a client), then at least every 15 mins she is clocked as logged in, therefore no need to re-log in.  Then, per Imtheman...

"Then every now and then change something on the profile to get back to the top of the listings".

In terms of logged in and updated I've noticed that some of the dates/times have a dotted line under them. Never figured out what it meant.... anyone know?

I think that the dotted line under a date or time indicates that it was before "Yesterday".  Looking at my hotlists I see that today (Thursday) is shown as Today, while yesterday (Wednesday) is shown as Yesterday, but for any day before that, the day of the week or the date are shown with dotted lines underneath.  I will know tomorrow if it adjusted along these lines.

Give that man a biscuit! Seems bleeding obvious now you've explained it...... Lord knows why I didn't figure it out myself! Bit of a useless random feature though innit!?

Thanks GB - never thought about it before but when you raised the question I got curious.  Today proved my hypothesis correct.  :drinks:
