I cam all the time - it's a great quick way to get your rocks off conveniently once the missus is in bed, as well as to size up the vibes RE potential meets (not that I've met any myself yet, but certainly talked the talk with them about it!) - the disinterested ones are immediately obvious, and it allows you to develop a mutual vibe (or at least one that seems realistic).
Also, plenty of the girls who cam on AW don't list escorting in their profile, but when you chat to them in private mode, and they've worked out that you're not a serial killer / knuckle dragging idiot then they're totally up for meeting.
My advice would be to not only try it with your existing girl, but also have some fun exploring all the variety on AW - I tend to be quite cheap, so often will click on 'group' mode if the girl doesn't do free to get a split second vibe / peek to see if she's worth further investigation, and it's way easier to just close the chat window if you're not feeling her rather than having to walk away from an in person meet (as I would imagine)
AW tends to have OK prices - some girls like to go direct, so they make more money, but often times this can work out even more expensive... usually 5 to 10 mins max works for me.. Have fun!
