How do you guys walk from a punt?

I usually knock on the door. If the escort is a bait and switch I make an excuse and say I left my money in the car and leave.

Tbh, not had any problems doing any of those. Most simply shrug their shoulders, and other say sorry. I sometimes check. Usually I don't, but if they have no feedback and especially if I'm travelling quite a distance in London, I call and check, or I get a £10 deposit, or if it's late they also have the option of ordering me an uber instead of sending a deposit.
It's happened a few times where I've travelled for ages to find I've been sent on a wild goose chase.
