If your really keen on her try paying it into her adult work account at least that way you can dispute it if she's a no show I can see where she is coming from because it's a pain when you have your time waisted but I would never hand over cash or expect to be given it without some sort of assurance

tell her you also charge a £50 deposit as you have been let down in the past, as such if she trusts you, then you will trust her, otherwise tell her to send the £50 deposit to you and then you will send a £50 deposit to her

£50 pounds  deposit though pay pal  her rates are  charge £100 a hour for the studio, images and filming.  i can understand from her point of view there a lot of time wasters but i am professional and reliable thanks linford

I've had a few photoshoots over the years and the majority of photographers do ask for a deposit (assuming your talking about the photographer) due to timewasters etc. This is a fairly standard practice. Saying that if your in doubt always trust your instincts. If it's the wg asking for a deposit that should be a defo no-no for you
