Warm thanks to all the previous posters with tips on Pattaya.  And let me confirm that of *all* the various towns and countries I have punted in, this is top.  Punting paradise!

Logistics: I booked a flight last minute so no bargain, but not crazy expensive.  I joined Thai Friendly (TF) a week in advance (as per advice).  But I messaged girls too soon – the advice to only add picture and description and start messaging 1 or 2 days before trip is good.  I put the words ‘freelancers welcome’ in my profile.  This reduced the small number of husband-hunters but got past the censors.  Do get your picture verified and become premium in the UK though as it takes some messing about.

I stayed at Sandy Spring hotel.  Loved it.  The door man and desk staff were good partners with my 10 or so visitors – keeping ID, booking taxi, calling me – whatever.  There must be 100+ equally girl friendly hotels, but this was perfect for me.

Prices: Not going to mention all over the place – everything is so cheap. In my head, I set a minimum to spend goal, not a max.  £200 = 9000 baht.  And …. a typical LT girl was 3000 Baht.  So, to reach my goal of spending £200 per day or more, I needed to spend like mad – this attitude really helped me enjoy the week.  Most days I had left over from the 10K I got on bank card each day.

DAY 1
Arrived very early.  Dropped my bag and had a walk around before my early check in.  Chilled in my room until 12:30 when ‘Nice2529TH’ from TF arrived.  Very slim and nice looking. We had lunch first.  She was a bit of a weirdo – after a shared shower, she cleaned herself for ages.  Then she trimmed her pussy with a mini buzzy shaver sitting on my loo. In my hotel there was no G-on-G action.  I fucked one, she left (as planned) then the other one and I had a quickie and then slept.  Bitch woke me up at 5AM with some story of her sick mother or dog or roommate or something and left.  I had to walk down with her so reception will give her ID back.  Weird day – at least I had sex with 3 girls!

DAY 2
Woke up again at 10:00ish.  Breakfast in the cool bar next door, the Sportsman.  Maya9TH from TF arrives at 11:00.  She came from Bangkok, and was older, milfy. DAY 3
TF Girl ‘Mena2478’ arrives. An hour’s sex, then lunch (cheap place next door) then more sex.  Great English, good in the sack – potential best of the week.  Ask her to stay all day but she can’t. 

Meet my next-door neighbour walking to the lift – a few sentences confirm we are doing the same thing.  He shows me how the baht bus works (no bus stops – stop it like hailing a cab, ring bell then pay 10 to driver to get off.  Yes 20p).  We go to Soi 6 and have a beer and chat to a bar owner he knows (Black American called, you guessed it, Kevin).  Watch some nice dancing girls and so on.  Mena texts me she will come back at 8:00.  I say yes!  We drink and wander town – highlights was taking her to Kink (Thai girls can’t really go in on their own, but men like us can bring Caligula’s horse if we want).  We ended up in a great live music place called Las Vegas.  Sex that night was ordinary (long week and over drinking catching up) but morning sex was fantastic.

DAY 4

2) I was quite 'down' on day 4 in the morning.  Too much drinking and full on perhaps. Ready to call it quits and go home.  But I chilled for a bit and dove back in.  Just in case it happens, don't think that you are the only one.
3) My fucking pattern (and booking TF girls over lunch) was driven by the fact that there is nothing much to do in the morning and afternoons are quiet.  Discovering the GCs that opened at 1:00 was a help.  But if/when i do it again, I'll adjust my time zone to wake at noon and sleep at 3AM.  Waking at 8:30 and crashing at midnight was a small error.  Sportsman will gladly give you breakfast at 1PM!

Yes that's the mad thing about Pattaya. It has such amazing highs that you can crash and burn and have days were you feel like shit. The alcohol is of course layered on top and can really get you depressed and affect your mood.

I am one of them people who needs a set routine to function even on holiday because i suffer from depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. Its interesting what you say about nothing to do in the mornings and afternoon i actually really enjoy the calmness and serenity of the mornings and afternoon.

I would get my workout in every day late morning and then would follow up with lunch and then would have a 1 hour massage sometimes 2 hours (there is a really good deal at Nemo's massage on Soi Diana 350 Baht for 2 hours, I would have 1 hour Thai and then 1 hour Oil and give her 50 baht tip so 400 Baht all in) £9 pounds for a excellent massage is crazy.

I also love walking around Pattaya and Beach road at this time despite it being the hottest part of the day and would often roam around the shops at central festival. Its fully Air conditioned and like going into the 7/11s its a real cooling down from the heat.

It would then be usually after 3pm so then late afternoon a GC or a bar for a couple of drinks and a game of pool until 5pm or 6pm and then go for my main evening meal. I would then retreat to my hotel room to relax and sometimes i would take a nap before i would be ready to go out around 9pm.

I am similar to you in that i would rarely be out after 1am. I would be back in hotel with a girl for a ST or most of the time i would be alone and be asleep no later than 3am. I would often have my fun in a GC, Soi 6 bar upstairs, BJ bar or a dirty massage during the day or early evening rather than taking a girl back to my hotel room at the end of the night.

Great Trip Report!

Its not unusual for people to hit a brick wall in Pattaya. A period of anticipation beforehand, a long ass journey, jet lag, sensory overload, cultural differences, partying hard, followed by hangovers and a range of emotions such as lust and even love. Then add in that Pattaya and Thailand in general isn't for everyone.

Pattaya gives a rollercoaster of emotions. It is a strange thing to say that in a town full of female companions, that at times it can feel lonely there. Sometimes it feels that you are surrounded by people having the times of their lives and you are the only one that is having a bad day.

I've had six trips to Pattaya now and have learned to pace myself and probably have two mad nights out in a seven day period. I use a lot of the time there to chill, recharge the batteries and reflect on what a lucky life I have.

Oh, a couple of other things. Expect the Pattaya come down. It might last a few days or even a few months but you will experience a downer. The last thing is to expect that you will soon start preparing for your next trip out there!

Its a shame you missed Songkhran - it takes a while to get used to - but is a real fun time  if you get into it and realise the whole point is to smile and get into the party vibe, but its not for everyone for sure.

I completely get the day 4/5 downer,  I get that when Im travelling on my own for work or hobbying. Jet lag is quite often the trigger for me as Im a bad sleeper normally. Melatonine really helps and you can now buy it in the UK from Dr Tom etc. Worth taking some at the start of the break and geting onto the right time zone quickly. It can really knock you out - I took one recently in India and slept through my alarms and woke up at 2 in the afternoon

The new things they built are nice.  Las Vegas bar complex is brand new and shiny: on google street view it is a vacant lot.  The even larger Myth bar complex is also new I believe.  The soapies are not sleazy. Of course, the sleazy bits are still there and part of the charm.  And the beach is world class (hmm perhaps world class beaches don't have escorts for hire there every night).

I had two full days of Songkran - more than enough for me.  In the notes, above I didn't describe the constant waterfight all day on Day 8. Trying to put it out of my mind.  When I got to a new bar, I had to wring out my shirt, have one of the girls put it in the sun and sit topless in the bar (not a pretty sight).  I suppose it made the move to the girl being topless and then bottomless a bit sooner.  If only in Patts for a week or two, a whole week of water fight is a bit much I'd think ... for me I think 2 days was OK, but wanted no more.

10,000 Baht cash spending, so included beers, meals, lady drinks etc. Did not include the nice tailored jacket I had made (5000). Not an exact science.  Just a mind set.  Many girls were 2000 to 3000.  Pinup was 8000 LT plus 2500 BF.  Perhaps I could have negotiated, but that is annoying ... and there was no need since I could walk on.

I only managed to spend enough my first day (when I took 2 girls from glass house on WS), and the last (when I went crazy in angels and still got a lt girl from Kink).

i was in Pattaya last month (March) and twice last year and without setting any budget (min or max spending) i found i was spending 6-10K per day quite easily. as you say most ladies were 2K for ST (yes you can get a bit cheaper or you can haggle down a bit but i generally paid 2k and had two per day so that is 4k (5K if one was a LT) plus sometimes a bar fine as well - best part of 1k (with a drink).

lots of places to get a decent breakfast for 500 (including fresh orange juice and tea/coffee). dinner could be anything from 300 to 2000 depending where you go and what you have.
so lets say that is 6k for girls and food. Then there is either some element of sightseeing during the day or doing something - a few beers, chatting to ladies (buying them a few lady drinks etc) so its easy to get through 1k during the day and maybe the same in the evening so there is 8K in a day before thinking about any clubs, go-go bars etc.

yes you can do Pattaya cheaper - but do you really want to go all that way, have all those options in front of you, to see all that available pussy etc and not be able to do something you want to do? Save up at home a bit more if necessary before you go and have a blast!!

Yes Pin-up and XS are full of the best looking Thai women. I dont barfine or buy LDs in these places. I just relax and watch the talent on show. Palace agogo on walking street is another place with very attractive thai women. I would say Pin-up, XS and Palace have the biggest number of beautiful women on show in the walking street gogo's. Expect to pay big if you want to barfine and take these ladies back to your hotel for ST or LT.
