(full disclosure: I normally post here under a different username. Admin has kindly allowed me to create a second account matching my AW username so that I can contribute to this thread. These recent events have highlighted the importance of privacy so I don't want my "normal" UKP account publicly linked with my AW account)
First of all, thanks to both English Rebecca and the anonymous punter from here who both alerted me to this and, in doing so, demonstrated that there are decent people in this game on both sides of the fence.
The offending images were removed by AW webmaster after I eventually managed to contact them. Emma did not remove them herself and has not read the e-mail I sent her yesterday asking her to remove them (not showing as deleted, so I don't think she's blocked me yet. She doesn't seem to have logged in since yesterday morning)
There's been a bit of speculation here as to what I might have done to deserve this, so let me describe my side of things.
This seems to have been in response to the neutral (not even negative) feedback I left, which I stand by as honest and accurate, and (in my opinion) not arsey. I did not waste Emma's time, and I certainly was not a no show. What happened was this:
I booked Emma for her Cardiff tour on one of the original dates, and the booking was confirmed. The day before, I noticed on her profile a note saying Cardiff tour cancelled, so contacted her to ask. There was no response. On the day of the booking (after the booking time) I got an e-mail telling me the tour was cancelled as Emma had suffered an injury. Fair enough, these things happen. A direct message to cancel before the time of the booking would have been nice, but fortunately I'd seen the profile note so had already written it off. Even sent her a "shit happens, get well soon" note.
A while later, more dates were posted for Cardiff, I contacted her again and had an initial response about location, sent another message asking about specific dates and never heard from her again. The Cardiff dates eventually disappeared from her profile, and as far as I can tell she never came to Cardiff.
I waited a couple of weeks before posting feedback to give her a chance to explain/apologise/whatever for cancelling the second set of tour dates, but nothing. By this time it was evident from the activity on her profile that she'd moved on with her tour and was actively working in other locations, but couldn't be arsed to reply, so I posted my feedback. It seemed reasonable to me that a sp who makes such a big deal about timewasters on her profile should be called out when she is the one doing the messing about, and having poor comms. Politeness costs nothing, and ignoring customers is just plain rude.
Did my feedback do her any harm? I doubt it. I had been prepared to book her despite some evidence of a dubious attitude. It seemed that guys who actually met her had a good time. My one neutral in among 200 odd positives was hardly going to tip the balance against her but was just a cautionary note that comms and reliability may not be brilliant. A small part of the overall picture to consider when deciding whether to book or not.
Was her response proportionate? Hell no! There are mechanisms in place for responding to feedback. She chose instead to display my (and another member's) personal details in her gallery. What possible reason can she have for that other than the hope it will cause harm.
Fortunately the number she revealed is a punting number, and the Facebook profile it was linked to is not my personal profile, so no damage done, but there is a lesson here to anyone who values their privacy - be very careful what information you share, you never know where it will end up.
Stay safe guys (and sorry for the essay!)
