Author Topic: Adultwork verification photos with no makeup - what gives?  (Read 1049 times)

Looking through a few Adultwork verification photos I'm always amazed at just how rough the girls tend to look in them.

I don't get it. If there's a chance your photo is going to be seen then how hard can it be to throw on a little makeup? Is there some sort of AdultWork rule that the photos have to be dog-rough?

Believe me the longer they stay honest and true to the SP's real looks the better.
It's bad enough being conned by many of the photoshopped ones you see in their main profiles, PG's or agency shots!
Most of them soon block the verification Pics anyhow so those relevant threads here recording them for posterity serve the membership well. Believe me.
No make up

Well at least you know what you're getting not like most of the airbrushed porn pics on Viva Street, I wished more girls would use them.

I've often thought about this. Nice pics on the profile, and then a verification pic that looks like they have just been dragged out of bed. I'm not talking about the real con artists here, but those WGs that actually look nice with a bit of effort. They know (OK some of them are really stupid, so most know) that the verification pic will eventually be hacked and will be generally available.

To my mind, a profile that is backed up with a tidy (by which I mean a little make-up, brushed hair, nice but normal clothes, like she might go to a civvy job) verification pic is a real selling point. Suggests the girl is honest and you might get what you expect. A little effort, please.

often the profile is an off-the-shelf one, preprepared in bulk in advance by web authors.
They set the profiles up with a photo from a random EE girl, using no makeup so its difficult to tell if the girl in the verification photo is the same girl as the heavily made up one in the profile photos. When a profile is needed they do a rough match between the real girl and the verification photo. Doing this also makes the profile easier to reuse or sell on six months later when the girls get rotated and a new one takes her place. The idea is to make the verification photo look similar, but not too similar

Becaude it's AWank policy, according to a pro$$ie I asked, that the verification picture is "au natural".

Simples really.

That's how I understand it also, and also why 95% of veri pics are hidden I imagine.

I'm not so sure. Here are the words AW put up with a verification photo:

Quote
This is a verification photo as supplied by XXX. We make no warranties or guarantees that this picture is of the person(s) advertising or appearing on XXX's profile page.

Use this photo to make your own judgements as to the authenticity of XXX's profile by comparing it with those that appear in their galleries and movie library.

Hence the paper with the AW number. Does the photo look like the ones on the girls's page. That's what they expect the picture to be used for. I doubt they know or care if the picture looks like the girl.

In fact here are the guidelines that someone uploaded to UKP a while ago:

Quote
Take your picture ensuring it meets these guidelines:
You must be fully clothed, no nudity.
Your face must be clearly visible although you may obscure your eyes if desired.
You must be holding a piece of paper with the phrase "AdultWork.com User ID: 2387857" and the date written on it.
You must upload your photo within 24 hours of the date that you've written.
There must be no text or contact information on the picture, except your nickname, if desired.

Maybe the rules are different know of course. I don't have any way to know.
