If anything, prices seem surprisingly stable in the last fifteen years or so, when it was still £150 or so an hour. I remember the figure vividly because of an embarrassing moment with a (platonic) female friend who’d come to my house in 2003 after I’d split up with my ex. She wanted a piece of paper to make some notes about something; what I handed her had on the back “Jade, Paddington, £150/hour” and “Becca, Baker Street, £180/hour”. #awkward, as the kids say today.
