I visited Thailand last year, stayed in Bangkok [8] & Pattaya [12 days] , Bkk i found expensive but not ridiculously so, wide choice of sporting lady opportunities, I'm strictly a ST bloke, I never paid more than 1.5 baht for a 7-10 encounter on & around Sukmvitt Rd, the highlight was a Vietnamese lady late 20s, the price depends on your negotiating skill & if you are prepared to walk away.

Although I would agree that that may be cheap but in the context of the country you have to negotiate IMO. Most people average salary is around that number and food is much much cheaper and I think it should reflect elsewhere.

If we start paying more and more the price next time might keep going up as people are willing to pay more rather than haggle to the a reasonable price. Probably Pattaya and it will be a bit cheaper than Bkk. The only freelancers I’ve dealt with in recent times were from Thai friendly, they were all fine. Scooped quite a few girls from discos in years gone past, not too recently though and they were all fine.

Koh samui airport. It’s only served by Bangkok airways. You can take a ferry in also. Flight is like 1 hour (airbus) or just over  1hr 15 (atr)

I'd agree about Patong, pretty much has everything you'd want. Can get rather crowded in peak season down bangla but there's a couple of other quieter areas for drinking and girls.

840 sounds about right for London unless you do a stopover then it’s cheaper.

Check tui as they do charter flights to Phuket for less than £700 direct from some airports in the north mostly manchester. Internal flights are fairly cheap so it could be a genuine option to go there

Congrats on getting a car — it does make things easier. Alternatively I’ve hired motor scooters in Koh Samui. Makes it easy to hang out in the more relaxed north side (opposite Koh Pha ngan) and then just pop into town for a ‘carry out’ SP.
