Blimey you were unlucky to get something from OWO. That is really quite hard to get an sti from OWO.. We all know theres a risk attached to any bodily fluid exchanges. You take your chance as indeed I do some times with OWO and FK

Interesting take - I was also under the impression that to catch an sti from OWO was unusual at best and pretty damn difficult at worst, but when I floated this idea elsewhere it was shot down.

Anyone else care to chime in? Well aware everything has a risk and we play a game but I’d be keen to hear other opinions. OWO is one of the few pleasures left but I’ve become increasingly paranoid recently!

Oh and for the record 8 years punting as well as 15 years on civvie street and nothing, all owo but protection used in everything except long term exclusive relationships.

GUM clinics are discreet, safe and reliable and they don't judge or ask 10000 questions. You can drive over to the next town if you don't want to be seen by anyone, they don't worry about home location etc. It is risky at best to place your trust in internet health testing, there's no oversight or transparency and you have no idea just what they do with your details.

My personal view is that your £99 internet test is £99 you don't have to spend, but it's your money and your paranoia.

BTW, if you send me £50 and a drop of saliva, I can send you a perfectly printed certificate giving you the all clear!

Additionally, the statistics tend to show that in this country (where prossies practicing safe sex with clients is a norm) that they are slightly less likely to give you the main stds than civvies. The same is not necessarily the case for some 3rd world countries but it's hardly the place of this forum (IMO) to go on and on about it. It would be like having a car programme totally devoted to instances of careless driving.

Out of interest what were the symptoms. 

A day or two after the punt i felt flu like symptoms, sore throat, temperature, muscular weakness, I didnt think I had an STI at this point.
That lasted only a day or so, then a feeling like pissing razor blades for 3 days any time I tried to empty my bladder, truly unbearable, then I realised I had an STI and went to the GUM.

The painful burning sensation gradually abated over roughly 3-4 days as the medication took effect

Whole thing lasted about 10 days

Doctor's opinion was that I'd caught chlamydia from owo

Caught nothing so far but did have a scare once. Ended up with soreness inside the urethra following OWO which resulted in my first ever trip to the clinic. Thankfully I got the all clear but the worse thing about it all was having to make excuses to the wife when she wanted sex during the period I was waiting for the results.

The scare did put me off OWO for a while but OW is shit so over time the paranoia went away and I went back to OWO. No scares since thankfully but we all know this hobby is a risk/reward one.

I've used a dental dam and it was peanut flavoured - no joke. It was horrible. You may as well put on the edge of a kitchen work top and say now enjoy that. I last 4 to 5 seconds- I'd rather not engage in oral if I have to use another dental dam. Yuk.

You're quite right.  The logistics of paying you, however, are probably insuperable.

Would you accept that instead I put a £10 note into the box of a bona fide charity of my choice next time I'm in town?  I conscientiously promise to do so.
