Used to happen a lot in fishing ports and container ports there were well-known pubs
Immingham on the Humber was rife with them as was Grimsby ,it had a whole street of them Freeman St . Trouble was ,and here's a blast from the past, the punters used to get "rolled ". Imagine you've been at sea for a few weeks and you come into port first thing you do is get a drink and then another then the beer goggles go on and this "ravishing "creature walks up to you and you buy her a drink and the next thing you know you've got a hangover and the wages from the last few weeks work have mysteriously disappeared' and this was a regular occurance, We still have a fair few scam merchants but it's a lot safer than it used to be .
