Author Topic: Which would be the best erectile dysfunction meds to take?  (Read 580 times)

Offline AzorAhai19

Hi guys. I am looking to get into punting, but one issue I have is erectile dysfunction. I suffer from anxiety and I am currently on beta blockers (propranolol) for it. Due to my anxiety issues, I find it difficult to maintain erections. I have been looking around at different meds for ED and come to the conclusion that either Levitra or Cialis would be best. However, I wanted some advice on which would be the best ED meds to take in your opinion/s?

Thanks.

just my opinion, but anybody taking medication that affects their heart who doesn't consult properly qualified medical professionals before taking any other medication, that also affects their heart, is, well, just crazy.

Your doctor knows, or has access to, your full medical history and is therefore able to prescribe whatever is safe for you to take.

Apart from that use the search function, there's loads of threads on the subject.

I get what you're saying. I did think I would okay as I am only 30 years old. I was a bit embarrassed to go to the doctor to talk about this.

Only one person has the info to make the correct decision for you, and that's your GP   :hi:

So just because your a bit embarrassed taking to a doctor, who's heard and seen it all before, you are prepared to take medical advice from random people on a punting forum.   :unknown:

Another point is your doctor can look into any underlying reasons for ED. Mine did 7 different blood tests to rule out other causes before prescribing medication.

Think most of the above have answered your dilemma, go back to your own gp and speak to him or her, nothing to be ashamed of, that’s what they’re for, it could save you a lot of hassle and could easily cause you serious illness if you take something that you shouldn’t

^^This. A GP is far more likely to be able to offer the correct advice rather than a bunch of random punters.

+1. Do you sometimes feel like King Canute ...attempting to stem the continual tide of repeat threads such as this?  :D

Some of us are old enough to recall pre internet times when you had no choice but to see your GP!

If you have anxiety issues now, I would expect punting to make things worse

Viagra and Cialis are NOT recommended if you take some beta blockers there are other alternatives available best thing you can do is either talk to your gp or pharmacist for advice.

@azorahai

I just hands down went to the GP it’s not as akward as you may think it was pretty straight forward process nothing to worry about and safer than getting anything online

I suspect the "tide of repeat threads" you refer to may be in part because the Search Functions on this site are not good, with no support for Boolean Searching for instance. Any new member may  find it difficult to find some past threads, (assuming they bothered to try of course.)
Banned reason: Blatant tout.

I suspect you won't be here long, a member 5 minutes and criticising this free site. The search function has served members well enough for the past 9 or so years.

Type 'viagra' into it and 2nd on the list is this 14 page thread dating from 2012 to 2018, good enough for you.    :unknown:

If you are otherwise healthy, the best ED med is exercise.
