How many punters are taking a break from punting during this period? I guess the chances of catching something is very high. I’m not a full service guy but I certainly won’t be going for any massages right now. Also, for those punters needing discretion would there be a chance of getting a call/txt from a working girl saying you’re a close contact?

This issue could change the pricing dynamics going forward, if SP's notice a drop in traffic and footfall then it's quite possible they will drop prices and offer discounts to encourage interest.

It will be very interesting to see what develops over the coming weeks and months as this issue will be with us for some time I fear, more likely that punters will just visit regulars rather than take any risk's.

I am going to give it a miss for while to see how this virus situation pans out. I have not been very active lately in my area due to lack of decent opportunities so it won`t hurt me to have a rest from punting for a bit. I come into contact with many people during my working day so to get infected would not cause me much embarrassment as I could have caught it from anywhere but I feel it best not to tempt fate.

If i had a pound for every time over the years id punted where the girl was sneezing or coughing from a cold, id have enough for an hours punt.
Service providers have rent to pay and mouths to feed and if a little cold doesnt stop them, i cant see the risk of coronavirus stopping them.
I snogged and fucked a girl last weekend who was turning her head away and sneezing throughout the punt.
Guess what....
Ive a cold and cough this week.
Might have to stick to wanking for a while.

I saw something on the news tonight that they take samples from everyone that has coronavirus, then a lab in Liverpool is used to give the infection you have a unique DNA number. So in theory, if they sample everyone that gets it, the scientists can track the infection and say who you actually picked it up from, like a giant jigsaw.
They obviously cant say where you contracted it, just who from, if they have that persons samples.

Food for thought I guess....

I'm in a high risk category according to the NHS, so I'm going to take a break for a while. I'm sure it's overkill, but it's a risk I can't afford to take.
I'll bet those guys with a gas mask fetish don't feel quite so foolish now.

I did not suggest anything, just said that it was covered on the BBC news. However on that they were talking about the ability to work out the transmission path by identifying who each person got it from by analysis of virus samples. Could be interesting....

I wonder how many SPs would hand over punter details? Just how traceable are our punting phones?
Whether an SP hands over that kind of information or not, I'll bet there are a few punters who will stop seeing SPs just in case.

You'd think by now regular punters would have a separate phone PAYG and therefore switched off most of the time. So I'd be surprised to get a knock on the door

More and more PAYG phones require you to register when you buy or activate them. Not all by any means.... but I'll bet there are also a lot of guys actually using their own number.

As far as I'm aware (and I could be wrong) if you tested positive you were supposed to give them a list of places you've been and people you've met for the last 14 days. Perhaps that's now changed with us moving to the next 'containment' stage. The people on the list were then contacted. If they couldn't be traced easily, the police were asked to help identify and locate people.

Read somewhere that flu is 0.1% for potency and Corona is 3.4% ish.
So in a crowd of 500, hardly anyone dies of flu and yet 10 people would of Corona.
Time to have a pause I think.

3.4% of the TESTED population. And seeing as they aren't testing anyone/everyone who as a sore throat/cough, we don't actually know just how many have CV. I bet that there are millions of people with CV worldwide (and who don't know it) and so that mortality rate would be closer to the actual flu.
