Lol, Had a boring afternoon like me.

To answer the question, deaf and blind def have some advantages, Mute though I am not sure has any, how would you negotiate the now obligatory extras menu on arrival for a start ?

I would imagine outcalls to home or hotel with a familiar layout would be more likely than an incall. Then again depends how helpful cab/Uber drivers are, and also I suppose there’s whether said person has a guide dog.

Good point, I wonder if any would be happy with a guide dog joining you?  I think your right about outcalls for the blind and they can get a friend to pick one that suits there needs. I guess deaf or mute could get by one way or another. Lip reading, as you say smartphone.

I've enjoyed quite a few sensory deprivation sessions which can be very erotic.

Not quite the same I know, but it can certainly help you focus more intensely on the sensuality and pleasure you're feeling.

Couple of thoughts on this........
I was once privileged to meet a Hapkido 7th Dan who was totally blind.
Watching him lead training sessions and taking part in sparring, you wouldn't know he was sightless. He could hear the kicks and  punches coming.

In a similar vein, my cousin is a teaching support worker for blind kids. At least two of the girls she helps have hearing acute enough that they can ride bicycles around their home streets and "hear" the parked cars and other road obstructions through reflected sound. Absolutely remarkable

Saw a news article about a kid who uses clicks to echo locate his way around as he walks or cycles.  Apparently also demonstrated by others.
Given all that latent ability it beggars belief that so many fully-sensed men still can't find the clit or g-spot... which leads back to the OP and prompts the follow-up whimsically serious questions:

Are blind punters better at finding the clit and g-spot?
Are deaf punters able to really tell when an SP comes?

Totally remarkable Scutty and amazing to think that other senses can compensate to such a degree for a missing one

I am registered partially sighed - to give you an idea I have to magnify the text on this site 600% in order to be able to read it.  I can't see the details of someone's face if they are more than about 1 foot away.  How much detail I can see around me generally is highly dependent on the quality of the light.

I almost always have the escort come to me in a hotel, because of the difficulty in reading street signs, labels on door buzzers etc.  Getting my iPad out to magnify what I am looking at is clumsy, and can attract attention.  My main problem is that hotel rooms are generally very badly lit, with lots of 'mood' lighting, uplighters etc. which means I can't really see a damned thing.  Even the 'accessible' rooms (which I sometimes take because I also have mobility problems) are like this.  I know it is not reasonable to expect every room to be lit like an operating theatre, but a big central ceiling light would help.

As you might expect, facial appearance is not so important to me anymore, so if I find an escort with other characteristics that I like - a nice body shape, a sexy voice, lots of touching etc. then I tend to stick with them.  I generally book via email.  If I have to use a phone (everyone seemns to be using bloody Whatsapp these days) I have a 7" phone tablet thing I can use, and expand the screen so it is just about usable.

The only time it ever comes up with the escorts is if they want me to look at something on their phone, or ask me what I think if their tiny tattoo, or can I get a specific thing from their little bedside bag.  None of them has ever minded.  I get more negative reaction from the escorts if I am using my wheelchair or my crutches.  I used to frequently get a look ath said "oh fuck, this one is going to be hard work".  I may still do, but I can't see it anymore!

As I understand it registered blind covers a wide range, some people can see shadows. My experience is that some may need a guide, including myself, websites can be read out by software and yes someone with very little sight can find a clitoris. They can also remember room layouts, and use sound as a guide.

I am sorry your ambulatory equipment has received such a reception (or non-reception), I find the driver usually has everything in hand - meaning the user of the crutches, chair etc.

Thanks, it would be good to hear more from providers about the pros and cons of servicing those with disabilities to the senses that many punters consider integral to a (good) punt.

...those that are also deaf and/or mute in addition...

Different.

Setting up a punt and finding a WG who would do them proper justice in the punt, probably a fair bit more challenging?

From the 'outside' of that question it would seem to me that with missing senses, the remaining ones take on more importance. The brain is hungry for a sexual connection so it latches on strongly to any stimulus.

So for a blind punter, the feel, taste and smell of a WG would become a bigger factor in turning him on. Perhaps even her voice, a sexy voice, especially right in your lug'ole would get your toes tingling.

Deaf punter: perhaps very little different from a 'fully able bodied' punter in most respects, but obviously communication is more difficult...actually, scratch that...different. No audible 'cues' to speak of, so going more on meaningful looks and perhaps an even better connection that with a hearing punter? Depending on the WG of course.

Deaf mute punter: even more demanding for the WG. I guess better preparation for the punt with texts/emails beforehand, to fully explain the situation and set out wants and boundaries for both parties? Perhaps even texting during the punt!

I think it's safe to say, for a WG, seeing a sense-disabled punter might be quite a challenge, certainly someone dedicated to the job and basically of a caring nature? There are WGs who specialise in seeing such punters. One might say they have cornered the market and potentially elevated their earning potential, but I think for WGs who do it properly, they are to be applauded and respected (over and above the usual respect they ought to receive).

Thank you for your interesting and thought provoking post, every now and again someone will post something that stops me in my tracks and makes me consider a different viewpoint, experience or perception. Today that was you.

On a lighter note (pun intended!) for brightly lit hotel rooms, where I have been known to regularly unscrew lightbulbs in the wall lights to try to reduce the glare, may I recommend virtually any room by Travelodge  :hi:

There was a really cool documentary on channel 4 about this a good few years ago about early  development of this technique for visually impaired people. They used clicking of their tongues almost like echoe location. For the life of me cant provide a link, would love to rewatch. I also know there are now smartphone apps that also incorporate and  compliment this to aid blind people. Technology is amazing

Edit. Well fuck that was easy

They've measured the hearing of these people and it's no better than normal.

What is truly extraordinary, is that the brain focuses so well on the information it craves to perceive the world, it is that processing which is the truly amazing thing. If you're blind then the brain effectively puts all that energy which would have been processing your vision, into your hearing.

I may be talking bollocks ( :P) but I'm sure I remember seeing a documentary a few years ago, where they did a live brainscan on a blind person and their auditory cortex was considerably enlarged?
