the webcaming thing might be contributing but I have no idea how common it is or how much they make... and they lose there anonymity...
but footballers, rich guys etc... we had all those things 20 years ago but there were still plenty of whores out there...
the niche services were always there too...
the actual number of women (of any nationality) that are working is now far less than it was I reckon... 20 years ago pretty much the entire west end was one big shag house... walk ups, brothels and flats everywhere... from marble arch up to charing cross road, leicester square up to fitzrovia, then you had phone box joints in covent garden, holbon, russell square, across to baker st and gloucester road... also loads going on in kensington and knightsbidge... then you had the real low end which was kings cross, paddington and also whitechapel and others
maybe its the property prices... but property prices have always been high...
there was a lot of bad press surrounding whores and punters and some aggresive attempts to criminalise by some female politicians in the mid 00's so maybe there has been some legislation that just makes it too risky or unattractive as a business?
